Blistex DCT (the little round orange container)? If so, does this need to go in the ziplock bag? Technically its a wax based lip balm, but I wonder if when going through security it would be considred lip gloss since its clear.

And if I put it in the bag and its not considered "liquid', would that create a problem? I havent flown since this new rule started and dont want to risk doing anything wrong....or worse, losing my Blistex.

I'm not sure of the answer, as I haven't flown since the new restrictions in place. But my gut says "better safe than sorry". I would think tossig in the ziploc wouldn't be a bad idea. If it didn't need to be in there, then no harm done. Just my 2 cents.
