I can get a really good deal on air fare ($79 each way) from here (St. Louis area) on a small airline (Allegiant) BUT they fly into Sanford instead of MCO. I am not familiar with Sanford at all and prefer not to rent a car since it's just me and DGD10 this trip. Has anyone taken the shuttle service offered by Allegiant from Sanford to Disney hotels? OR does anyone know of a town car service from Sanford? I am assuming taxi would be $$$$.

Flew into Sanford to take advantage of cheap fare. Small airport, easy to get around. Florida towncar provided our transportation - $120 roundtrip. Website - **************.com

we always rent a car and we to get cheaper flights via sanford. Its less busy than MCO, and the drive to WDW is not too bad.

We are considering it. If we did, we would probably use the towncar we used last year from MCO. From Sanford I think they would charge $190. Since there are only 2 of you, the shuttle which is $20something pp one way, might be economical but I don't have any experience with riding it.

Forgot to mention the towncar we used last year was Prestige Towncar.

My mom and I are flying into Sanford in May on Allegiant. We booked Sunray as our towncar, it will be around $180 or so. HTH :)

We have flown in to Sanford several times and prefer it to the crowds and security waits at MCO.

For all the great info. We're flying into Sanford. Looks like I have quite a few safe & sound options for ground transportation--and will still save money! ;)

we are also looking into flying in from Worcester. I plan on taking Jet Blue home though into Boston. Can this be done??? (only reason is the flight is later and about the same price..)

Of course you can fly into Sanford on one airline and fly out of Orlando on another. Infact, what you can do is get a 1 way rental and drop it at the Dolphin or the Car Care Center or a 1 way transfer (Alligiant offers a $21.00 PP transfer from Sanford to LBV) You can also hire a town car.

Going home you can use ME. Call the ME 800 number with ypur return info to make your ressie.
