Has anyone ever used the Vera Bradley backpack?

I have 2 VB hipster bags that I switch on and off for on every trip. I have the blue and the red. They have always worked great but after reading the boards I wanted to try the Bagallini sling bag so I just bought one for my June trip. I think I will throw my vera's in my suitcase just in case the bagallini doesnt work out. You will love the vera hipster!!!!:cheer2:

:cheer2: :cheer2: Thanks everyone !!! Just when I thought I wanted the backpack, I hear about the hipster. That also looks great. I think that I am going to go into a store and see how big it is. I want to make sure it will hold my stuff. They both look great. For anyone who uses the hipster - Does the strap bother your neck when you wear it across your chest? Thanks :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

No the fabric is very soft and never bothers my neck. Even when it is full it is fine.

I have a hipster as well as a backpack and I have found that the hipster doesn't hold quite as much, but it still does hold a lot and depending on how much you're taking, it could be perfect! I have taken my hipster all over America and Europe and it has yet to bother my neck. Come to think of it, I suggest you take the hipster. It's easier to manage on rides. I'm glad to hear I have some fellow Vera Bradley sisters on the DIS!! Yay for Vera Girls! :cheer2:

Have a GREAT trip!

I bought the overland donner bag last year and even though I love the size and all the compartment, the strap started bothering me around my neck. I saw the Vera Bradley back pack on line and thought it might be better because it is made of fabric and it may be light weight. Has anyone had any luck with this type of bag? Thanks! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I think you should stick to the old realible fanny pack.......:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Vera Bradleys are amazing, because they have pretty much no weight on them, besides what you put in them! i am acctaully getting one of those backpacks for my trip to WDW!!

Thanks Tink! You talked me into getting a hipster for my upcoming June trip--just won one off of Ebay for less than $20 with shipping included!! YEAH! What do you usually carry in yours?

I have a few VB bags and LOVE them ...BUT they aren;t good if it rains...not waterproof at all.....

Although I just bought a great new backpack, I was soooo leaning toward a VB backpack, too. But you're right! We always get caught in at least 1 drenching downpour. It's not waterproof! Thanks. You saved me over 60 bucks. :)

I love the look of the Hipster. I just placed a bid on one on Ebay. Pixie dust that I win it at a good price...like I need another bag :woohoo: . They are sooo pretty though and look like they would be perfect for me as we have not a lot we need to carry around through the parks!

Just as an FYI to anyone who is interested, every year during Mother's day weekend, Vera Bradley does a huge sale in Fort Wayne, Indiana at the Coliseum. So, if you have any connections there or want to make a trip for it, they do the sale every day all day for three days. They put out tables and sell TONS of different bags in all different patterns. Some are retired, some are current, but all are CHEAP! There used to be people who would come in and get FLATS of stuff and spend tens of thousands of dollars on purses to sell them on eBay but I think they have set a ten grand limit now (which is still WAY TOO HIGH in my opinion).

Anyway, I've seen just about every style there including the little doggie carriers, so if you think you can make it over there, come on over! I go every year because it's also my mom's Birthday weekend. I think there's a charge to park and maybe to get in as well, but it's worth it.

Just posted this on the "What bag to bring to the parks" thread but wanted to post it here as well...

Just went and bought the Vera Bradley lg. hipster...WOW~! I LOVE IT! I got the Raspberry Fizz color, soooo pretty yet soooo practical.

It feels wonderful, looks amazing and can definately hold my water bottle and all those little extras. It really was just perfect for me! It has a ton of matching accessories if you're into that as well. Thank you to the poster who suggested the Vera Bradley ...

Here is a pic of it, but I bought mine at a local store not online...

Thats my treat for myself before we go to disney. I buy myself a backpack and large duffle, i wear the backpack and put kids change of clothes, diapers when i needed them, wipes and anything else really not that important. Vera has made it possible for me to do disney organized. I put the lg duffle over the stroller. I have a 5 and 3 yr. old.:thumbsup2

I have been to the store and looked at the Lg backpack and the hipster. I am not sure how much either will really hold. :confused3 If you have carried one of these bags would you let me know what you carried in it? Thank you tons!!!

I have only used the backpack, but never at Disney. It is usually the only bag/purse I use the entire summer. It really does fit quite a lot. A friend of mine has a hipster and used it when she went to Europe over the holidays. She really liked it. I think if I had to choose, the backpack probably will fit more.
