I bought the overland donner bag last year and even though I love the size and all the compartment, the strap started bothering me around my neck. I saw the Vera Bradley back pack on line and thought it might be better because it is made of fabric and it may be light weight. Has anyone had any luck with this type of bag? Thanks! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I use the Vera Bradley backpack. Not sure which one your interested in(they have 3), but I used the regular size one its around $84.00. I liked using it, you can fit alot, camera, video camera, wallet, poncho(3). It does hold up well and I had no problems with the straps rubbing. I just came back and I saw alot of women using the bag. The retired colors are on sale link is below

Thanks for the link. That is the size I was looking at online. I even like the pink one which is retiring so its on sale. It looks very comfortable to use. Does anyone else use this bag?:cool1: :cool1:

Yes! I used mine a couple of weeks ago at Disney World. There are lots of compartments and inside the front flap there is a holder for credit cards which I used for the photopass. I was happy with it.

My pattern is peacock and it was in the $80 range.

I have used the Vera Bradley Micro Fiber backpack. It was great and never bothered me. I do have to say that my favorite Vera Bradley bag for touring WDW is my Hipster. It's great, fits exactly what I need and is comfy to wear all day. I even bought DD the mini version!

My DH just won me a backsack from Ebay for our upcoming trip. I've used my DD's vinal backsack for the 6Flags place last summer and liked it. I'm so looking forward to using my VB at Disney this summer.

I love my VB backpack - but at $84 I won't take it into the parks! It would just get messed up :teeth: It's the most ecxpensive bag I own :rotfl:

Thanks everyone !!! I think I am going to have to spend the money and buy one. I have a nice leather backback but it can get very heavy and when its really hot in Disney it can be a little uncomfortable. We are going in June so I really want something light weight. Now the problem is trying to pick a color. Thanks !!!

I've used a couple different VBs. The fabric ones are very light, cool and easy to carry. I didn't use it last time, I like the Travelon bag because everything I need is in front of me--got tired of always flipping it around since I carry EVERYTHING (I swear it's worse as the kids get older! ).

I hate to say it, but the prices kill me. Every year I go to the VB sale--I think I paid $8.00 for the backpacks, so when I hear $84 I go    !

Have fun.

Hey--I was glad to see this posting about the hipster because I was just thinking about getting one for my June trip. I can never see a good picture of the inside and top of that type of bag, so I was wondering if you could tell me what kinds of compartments it has inside, and what type of closure it has at the top. Also, how much can I fit into it? What do you usually carry in it? Would you do the regular or the mini for the WDW trip? And lastly, do you have any problems with the strap digging in to your neck? TIA for the answers!!

Thanks for the info,:thumbsup2 I really wanted to buy a newbackpack, and with the sale now I can . Thanks:goodvibes

I used my VB backpack the last time we were at WDW too and it worked great. The only problem was that I got some kind of greasy black gunk on the bottom of it at some point that won't come off. :sad2:
They're great for the parks, just be careful where you set it down!! :thumbsup2

Ahhh!! I love my VB backpack, it's worth the money!! :)

I have a Vera Bradleyish looking backback that I picked up at the end of the summer last year at my grocery store. Loved it on my trip to Disney in October. It was very light weight and fitted all the odds and ends I was carrying around with me.

I LOVE VB and her back packs. I was thinking of taken mine with me in May to WDW. but if I get tired of carrying it my husband wouldn't carry it for sure but if I had a LL Bean one he would, so I may check into that. I love anything VB.

I have found a backpack type bag that I love!!! It cost me only about $20 or so at Walmart. It is a black imitation leather bag and it is perfect for hauling around the parks. It easily holds the camera, etc. and it even came with one of those small collapsible unmbrellas in cae of a shower. It zips shut so there is no chance of anything falling out and it water repellent for those wet rides. It has a couple of smaller zip pockets as well. I used it last year when we went and am taking again for our trip in April. It is black so my DH also doesn't mind taking a turn carrying it! Love it!!!! And it didn't cost a fortune!!!

Just found some great deals of Vera Bradley bags,:woohoo: At ebags.com. There are lot of different styles and colors to pick from.:upsidedow

I have used a VB backpack for the past two summers. I am very excited to use it during my first WDW trip! I even have the now retired travel organizer wallet that can hold my airline tickets and all my tickets, etc. I will use last year's backpack and get a new one for this summer. Actually, I just had my mom choose which one she wants for the trip. She likes the Cambridge Blue, but I love any of them!

They wash so well--worth the money!
