I just saw a great rate for a minivan with Payless....at least $100 less than what I already have reserved with another major rental company. Has anyone used them before and are they located at the terminal or do you need to take a shuttle bus to their reservation counter?

I used Payless a few years back because they had the best rate on a minivan. We had to take a shuttle, they were located outside of the terminal, unless that has changed which I doubt. We had no problems with them whatsoever.

I walked out of Payless as they demanded we sign a blank contract and weren't willing to fill in the rental amount. No thanks! Fortunately I'd made a back-up reservation with Alamo because I'd had a problem with Payless another trip. The rate was so low and seductive I gave them another try and just ended up wasting time. We rent from Alamo which allows you to do everything online so when you pick up the car you don't have to wait in line to talk to a person. You don't get the insurance sales push, and the rates are better than any other large company. I wouldn't consider giving Payless another chance and highly suggest you make a back-up res just in case. If you don't use the back-up there's no penalty. Leave your options open.

Their minivan rate is only $3 more, and they're located right at the terminal which makes it well worth it. Besides, they have a more established reputation and that makes me feel better in view of a few of the remarks. Thanks everyone for the feedback!
