Has anyone ever used Height Max supplement?

I was thinking about trying it. I've always wished I were taller and my sister comments on how short I am -- in fact she will pass me up soon!

From what I've read on the website it sounds fairly safe, but I am skeptical if it will work. Haven't found a single review anywhere on the internet.

How old are you? If your bones have fused together nothing is going to make your grow more unless you break all the bones in your body and put extenders in them to stretch them and make them grow longer. It is a gimmick. Don't waste your money!

LOL you're right it is probably a gimmick I was just hoping maybe someone would tell me it worked. I am 20 BTW. And of course the middle child gets stuck with all the crappy genes .

Be happy with who you are. I'm 5 foot 1 and LOVE being short! Embrace it!

"Probably" a gimmick? No, sadly it IS a gimmick. For many years I had to take my daughter to Duke to see a team of endochronologists and we've heard from EXPERTS all there is to know about height growth. Sometimes, even the experts can't pull it off. My daughter had visions of being a tall, gorgeous fashion model. Instead, with the help from experts, she an amazing 4'8" tall! Please, save your money. :teeth:

Trust me, You don't want to be tall.

I am 5'9'' and a size 2, do you know how hard it is to find pants that go all the way down instead of flooding, and shoes, most heels are 3 inches, do they really think I want to be 6 feet tall, no thanks.

Being short can be tough when you're a guy, but you need to focus on your strengths and find yourself a nice, short girl or a girl who likes guys of all sizes. How old is your sister?

For those who aren't 20, does anyone know the age at which your bones fuse and growth hormone would definitely no longer work?

Be careful, I used that. :p

Well, that explains a LOT!!

momof2--your bones fuse when you are done growing, which varies from person to person but it is generally 3 years after a girl gets her period but not sure what benchmark they measure boys from. Most boys are done growing around age18-20, girls around 16 or 17.

Some start growing later then others. If you have concerns about a child, there are specific things they will look for to determine if your child needs growth hormones. You have to remember that the growth hormones won't make them taller then they are programmed to be, they will get them on track to get to that height if something is causing them not to grow. One thing they look for is a leveling out of their growth over a period of time (our DS didn't grow for about 2 1/2 years). We had him tested and he was still in the normal range for natural production of growth hormones, but on the low end.

They figure he has what is called "Constitutional Growth Delay" which basically means he started out at "normal" height, stopped growing for a time and will start growing again later then normal but will still reach his full adult height (they predict around 6' tall for him-he is 4'8" now and is 13, 8th grade--a munchkin for sure).

Ice, with dimensions like that, you'll have to excuse me if I find it hard to be sorry for you! Just joking -- I'm barely skimming the 5' mark, and I know it's so hard for me to find pants that don't have crotches dragging down to my knees; I'm sure it's just as hard at the other end of the spectrum.

Seriously, to the original poster, I have to agree with the others: this stuff is worthless at best, dangerous at worst. If you're really outside "normal" height range, then see your doctor about an expert who can really help a little (but still don't expect miracles). If this stuff worked, it'd be marketed through doctor's offices, not the internet. This product is right up there with the pills to enhance breast or ***** size, the diet pills that make you lose weight while eating ice cream, and all the other outrageous "miracle pills" out there -- none of them are actually going to work.

See if you can find an ingredient list, then compare it to a good multi-vitamin. I bet they're the same stuff.

pleassssse save your money! I'm also 5'1 and it gets annoying when people point it out all the time, but its how we were made and thats how we were ment to be.

Lol, no one feels sorry for me :( But it's nice to know that short (no offense) people go through similar problems, I thought at least if you are short you can hem them, never thought about the crotch issue.

I'm with you -- although I'm not a size 2. It's nearly impossible to find pants, unless you shop through a catalog, and then you take your chances. However, not all tall women have this problem...only tall women with long legs. My 6'3" son and I have the same inseam (34"). I totally agree about the shoes too!

To the OP, I'd assume it's a gimmick, especially if you can't find any reviews. Not knowing if you are male or female and exactly what you consider short, it's hard to reply.

I'm 5'4" so not super tall and I have a comment about hemming pants, it doesn't work. If you hem pants they look funny, they don't hang the way they are made. Most styles taper slightly to the ankle (some more then others) if you hem them you are hemming them to the wide part of the leg and they just don't hang right.

I have long legs for my height, petites are way too short and regular pants are too long. Nothing worse then being an "in between" size. Pants once fit me just right but I think they are making them longer these days but not petites, they are just as short.

I'm sure it is frustrating being short, but I think most people are frustrated with some part of their body they can't control. Hang in there. I didn't like my height when I was your age-now I embrace it. It's taken awhile to accept it, but eventually I did.

I'm also vertically challenged. I hate it, always have. I really have issues with it, and I can never find clothes that fit. My dh (who is 6'1) tells me that guys dig short chicks. I don't know if he's just telling me that cause he really thinks I'm hot, or if guys really like short woman. Either way, unless you have bone lengthening surgery (which I here is becoming popular in Asian countries), you're wasting your money.

:confused3

What to do....?

I have a DS who is a sophomore in high school and is mistaken for a 6th grader all the time. I feel so bad for him sometimes. He doesn't seem to mind, but still I worry. He is almost 16 and hasn't reached 5 ft. yet. I keep hoping that puberty will kick in soon!
