Has anyone ever used Disney pins on a page?

I traded for a few pins on my last trip to WDW, and I'd like to use them as elements on my pages. Has anyone ever tried it before?

I think I could snip off the post and use extra strength glue dots to attach them. I'm also thinking I would have to spray them with Archival Mist?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I have. I just used pliers to break off the shank and adhered with glue dots.
I wouldn't worry about spraying them with archivers (not sure what that would do to the enamel) I just make sure they aren't to close to my photos.

Oh good, then my plan will work (which almost never happens!)

Thank you!

I use my dremel tool to file down the broken piece of the shank so that the back is smooth.

Be careful to stagger where you put them on the page - too high and the page will droop - too many in the same corner and the book gets really thick!

When I use one on a page, I push down to see if any nub comes through on the back of the paper. I put a piece of tape over the nub so it won't scratch the back of the next layout. I have also cut the backs off the first visit, anniverary, birthday button you get a Guest Services and used glue dot/ wacky tacky as well to adhere them to a page.

I been using them (well pictures of them) to make SCAL files with lately - mainly trying to do ride theme ones

I used foam dots to help keep them attached to the page with the nub left behind. Seems to work and stick well.

I went to Staples Copy Center with a lot of chunky items. They laid them all on the scanner at once and asked them to print on very thick paper. 1 sheet so it cost hardly anything. I carefully cut out each item as needed. Then ran the side of a black marker along the now exposed white paper edge to create the illusion of depth. They look great and no chunkiness.

And I get to keep the original items for their original use. :goodvibes

Now THAT's what I call clever:goodvibes Brilliant idea!!:worship:

I make color copies of things that are that thick to put on pages. Mine are just out of regular paper, but I love the idea of getting them made a bit thicker. It's nice to still be able to keep the original object!
