for our up coming cruise, we have choosen to go on Dec. 5th, 2002
But we r flying out on Dec1,2002 which falls at the end of the Thanks Giving holiday week ..... the airfares r very expensive
because of that.. for what we normal pay $150.00 to $200.00
for a nonstop both ways on Delta is pricing out at about $360.00 per person OUCH that is 2 trips to Disney !!
So i found a flight on United for $219.00 per person with a Stop in both Directions YUCK.... SEE it is normaly about a 3 hour flight .... So i was wondering if Anybody has ever called the airline they like to use and told them that they have found another flight for less and given them a chance to Match the price
? not only that but i will settle for a stop on the way down and a nonstop on the flight home ???????
seems to be alot of seats on the Delta flights we want ...
any tips comments or suggestions would be great.

ALSO is an 11:40 flight ok to get back home ??????

I haven't tried it - But sometimes when airlines bring their prices down, the others will follow - So it is a good idea to check frequently -

Have you tried discount web-sites like Orbitz, travelocity, cheap tickets?

Good luck to you - Hope you get a great deal!

i tried this once a couple of years ago, but it was for an international flight. It was a no go, but if i were you i would still go ahead and give it a try. The worst they could do is say no.

We're flying Fri Nov 29th (day after thanksgiving) out of TF Green, Providence, RI on Delta nonstop (3hr flight) and paying $186 per person. I booked these flights back in March.
We had a choice of a flight back home at either 1130amish or 6pm so we took the 6pm. We are renting a car both to and from the port.

im going to give it a shot , what the heck worth the free call?

Your 11:40 flight back should be fine. We have gotten to MCO as early as 10:30 from the ship and that was using DCL transportation.
Have a great time.

The Friday after Thanksgiving is actually one of the quiestest travel days of the year. Most people who have traveled for the holiday come home on Sat. or Sunday. We normally go to my parents' home in FL (PBI airport) for the holiday, and we love coming home that day.

December 1, the Sunday after T-giving this year, is the second or third worst travel day of the year. You may want to re-think this and head down on Mon or Tues and extend your trip on the other end? I sincerely doubt you will get any deals on that day.
