No kids!! Is a wristlet a stupid idea? I'm thinking yes but maybe I'm wrong. Anyone use one at Disney?

If you are talking about just a small wallet sized purse then I see no issues. I have a very small "large wallet" sized purse that I use for trips. It has a long shoulder strap that I wear across my chest. It hold just what I need. Money, cards, keys.

Not stupid, but I really prefer something small that's crossbody so I'm hands free. Something dangling from my wrist would drive me nuts. But if you like wristlets and they don't bug you, go for it!

My BFF takes a small cross body purse when it's just her. Small=fits cellphone or camera, but not both. She loves it, and sold me on the idea. I'm trying it for my first time this week.

I use to tale my Vera Bradly wristlet. It is easy and doesn't get too heavy.

Yep, I took my Disney Dooney one when it was a kid-free trip.

I took a small zip-it purse (a bit bigger than a CD case) and that carried most of my necessities for the day.

I would not take a wristlet. I would take something that hangs off my body (either a small crossbody bag like I brought or a waist pack) so my hands are always free. Having something on your wrist is cumbersome and easy to lose if you have to take it off (like on a ride). I don't think the size is too small if you really don't need any 'stuff', but I think the way you use it will be annoying after a while.

Yep.... crossbody purses etc is the way to go. Problem I see with wristlets is they can fall off.....into ROA for one or they can get caught on something then next thing ya know there goes your personal belongings all over the place, becoming public.
Or if you are like me, and like to twirl that sort of thing about, it might just end up becoming a projectile that goes flying across Main St. and through a window. And you thought only the admission was expensive.
Lol

Sometimes I carry just a Dooney wristlet. It holds my AP/credit cards/ID, cellphone, cash, and lip balm. I like wristlets better than crossbody myself, but that is a personal preference. This is for times when I don't want to carry a water bottle, sweater, etc.

It totally works as long as you don't need much. Many times when I return to the park in the evening, I just take my wristlet. Give it a try!

My husbands grandma used a wristlit last year and for her it wasn't bad but she also just walks around with very few rides. I always take a drawstring book bag throw everything I need in there and room for gifts I don't send to the room and snacks.

The Spouse Thingy used a fanny pack last week and it worked perfectly. He looked like a dork, but didn't care...he had everything right there where he could get to it and it wasn't in the way.

I think as long as it isn't to heavy it would be ok. I am also going kidless and I have packed 2 different bags for the park because I couldn't decide. (I know I have an over packing problem :-). Both Cross body bags, one is small will hold my phone wallet and other small necessities. The other is a bigger baggalini cross body as well but I could throw in a few more things if I need.

Have a great trip!!!!

DW and I both sometimes just carry a wristlet in the parks. (In fact, that's pretty much all DW carries.) It's nice not to have to juggle a bag, but you do need to be aware of it when you're moving through crowded areas and getting on and off rides. I often just carry mine in my pocket, so I'm totally hands-free!

"Spouse thingy " what on Earth? Lol. :faint:

I think a wristlet sized bag is good. Maybe like the others said, something with a crossbody option.

I carry a small bag slightly larger than a wristlet even when I bring the kids. All their stuff stays in the diaper bag that stays with the stroller. I keep all my valuables in my bag (phone, keys, cc, cash etc)
