Has anyone ever taken a Sit n Stand stroller?

I have one I bought at a garage sale for $20 and can't decide whether I should bring it or not. I have a 6 y.o. and a 3 y.o. and plan to take a mid-day break at the hotel every day. We're staying at ASMo and I'm worried about taking it on the bus. We won't have a lot of "stuff" since they're not babies. In fact, we plan on using a small backpack and not the basket. I really don't want to spend the $ to rent a stroller at Disney. I just can't decide if I should bring the one I have or buy a cheap umbrella one for the 3 y.o. since his legs are too short to keep up.

Thanks!

we brought one for our trip over Christmas/New Years. I debated long and hard about if I should bring the sit & stand or the big DuoGlider. We decided on the Sit and Stand b/c it was a little smaller for navigating through the massive crowds that week. We went with a 21 month old and a 3½ year old. It worked out perfectly for us. Our 3 year old won't nap in the stroller so it wasn't a problem that he wouldn't have a reclining seat. I was worried that we would have a problem with him wanting to sit while his brother was laying down for his nap and the older one wouldn't be able to sit but rather just stand on the jump seat. It ended up not being a problem b/c he really didn't want to be in the stroller much at all. He walked most of the time and if he did want a break, he wanted to be up on my husband's shoulders where he could see more anyway. He did ride standing on the back more than sitting if we did make him ride. I think he just had a better view that way. That little jump seat made a nice place to sit our drinks down when we stopped for a snack too! ;) DH liked that if we wanted to leave some stuff in the stroller basket, we could pull the seat over it and sort of hide it where you would really have to be looking for something in there (it was never anything valuable...just the change of diapers, wipes, plastic kid sized utensils maybe a spare tee shirt for DS...just stuff we didn't feel like hauling onto every ride!).

It is a little clunky for bus rides but honestly, it wasn't that bad. I know my 21 month old was more comfy for naps in this stroller than an umbrella stroller so the inconvenience was worth it for us.

I am taking my huge stroller. I thought about the umbrella one but the handles are lower which causes me to stoop slightly and the neck and back pain from that from just a trip to the mall is excruciating. I can't imagine it from day after day all day long.

I don't know if that would be a factor for you, but that is why I am bringing our big stroller along.

I brought a Sit N Stand last year when my boys were 20 months and almost 6 yrs. It was great, although a little too heavy for up hills with both of them on it. If we had to go up a hill, or the ramp to the monorail older DS had to walk. I think as long as your kids are not too heavy it would be great. My younger DS was about 27 lbs and older DS was a little over 60 lbs.

It was a little heavy getting on and off the buses, but we just had one parent deal with the children and one with the stroller.

We are bringing two umbrella strollers (our kids are 4 yrs. old & 2 yrs. old) instead of the Sit N Stand. Personally, I think the Sit N Stand is too heavy for lugging on and off busses or trams. Our umbrella strollers recline, so my DS (2) can nap if he wants to. Good luck with whatever you choose and have fun!

I think I'm gonna go ahead and take it. My 6 y.o. is not even 45 lbs. and the 3 y.o. is about 30 lbs., so I think it will be best. I really don't want to buy another stroller (we don't need one) or rent one. I think it will be fine. I do make the 6 y.o. walk and only let him sit if we want to go a long distance fast or if he's REALLY tired. I think they'll both walk quite a bit but having the Sit n Stand will be a good back-up for when their little legs start to wear out.

Thanks!
