Has anyone ever swapped reservations with another member?

So I am heading down for the W&D race with a friend. We are booked in a studio at my home resort and so far have not made it off the waitlist for OKW, where we would have 2 real queen beds. With all the running groups and message boards out there, I am thinking I might be able to find someone booked at OKW that doesn't need the second bed and maybe we could swap reservations. Has anyone ever tried something like that? Would DVC do it for us? I'd hate to compromise one or the other or both reservations. Thanks!

I believe you would just switch the guest details on each of your reservations but it would likely be difficult to find someone whose reservation lines up exactly with yours.

If you find someone who wants to swap resorts, you can each change the names on the reservation you hold. You cannot ask Member Services to bypass the wait list system so that you could take over the other person's reservation under your own membership and do the same for the other member.

Of course, just changing names on the reservations probably puts you at a disadvantage point-wise since the OKW studio requires fewer points than almost all other resort studios. Only you can determine whether you are willing to make that compromise in order to secure 2 real beds.
