As far as the location, PI probably has the worst location of the 3 places I mentioned, but that doesn't mean it was bad. It was probably about 3 1/2 or 4 miles east of the main gate on 192, then about 1/2 mile on PI Blvd. CP is in Lake Buena Vista, about a mile from I4, and SL is right outside Disney property near the Animal Kingdom - you can't beat the location of SL. The size of the rooms at CP and PI were fairly comparable, although I believe CP would be a little larger. I have no idea of the square footage. I can't really compare the size of the room at SL to the others because we only had a 1 bedroom unit at SL while we had 2-br units at the other places. In fact, my opinion of SL might be a lot higher if we had a larger unit - it's rather hard to compare it to the other two. As for PI vs. CP, I would give a slight edge to the PI room, even though the CP room was a little bigger. The second bedroom and second bathroom were much nicer in PI than they were in CP, and the fact that everything had been newly remodeled and replaced made PI very appealing. Of course, I understand everything has been refurbished at CP since we have been there, so it may be just as nice. And I'm not saying there was anything major wrong with the room at CP - it was lovely. But we did have some problems with flooding at CP, the icemaker wasn't working when we checked in, and we found a couple of Palmetto bugs in the room. Everything at PI worked perfectly and we didn't find any bugs. The amenities, however, were FAR superior at CP. Beds were the same in both - 1 king, 2 singles and a sleeper sofa, and the beds were comfortable in both - I don't know about the sleeper sofas because we didn't use them. As far as SL, what we didn't like about it, besides the size of the room was that the beds - 1 king and a queen-sized sleeper sofa - were very uncomfortable.

The bathtub drain didn't work and if you tried to shower in the tub you ended up standing in a foot of water and it took about 20 minutes for the tub to drain after you got out. Also, there was dishwasher detergent but no dishwasher!

We also were disappointed to find that SL has interior corridors. I know many people prefer them but I do not live in an apartment building and I don't want to stay in one on vacation. There was also frequently an unpleasant odor in the hallways. Another personal preference we have is for carpeted floors and SL's floors were all tile. As for whether I would like PI better than CP if there was no construction, I think I would still have to give the edge to CP. I have 1 teenage boy and 1 preteen boy, and they live for the pools, gamerooms, snack bars, etc. PI had a couple of small pools and hot tubs, but there were no slides or anything like that. There was no snack bar at all and I didn't see the game room, but the boys reported that there was a grand total of 3 games in it.

The amenities at CP and SL, on the other hand, were outstanding. The other reason I would give the edge to CP is because there was NOTHING within walking distance of PI - not a restaurant, store, nothing. CP was surrounded by restaurants and stores. I would definitely stay at PI again, but if the money was the same, I would pick CP. Hope this helps.
