Has anyone ever shipped luggage?

From home to Disney, within the United States? If so, what company did you use? Approximate cost? Were you pleased with the service?

I haven't shipped "luggage" per se but I've packed a box with clothes and stuff and shipped it to the resort--about $50 each way but never had an issue either going or coming. I used Fed Ex.

If you do, remember to pack packing tape in the box for the return and I also usually fill out a return invoice so it's ready to go.

Bell services can take it for you and get it out--Fed Ex comes daily to the resorts.

This is the first trip I haven't shipped a box and I'm already dreading it. (mostly because you need to ship about a week ahead of your arrival and I'm less than that!)

If you plan to spend $50 to ship a box each way, why not just pay the airline lugage fee? Depending on which airline, you may only have to pay $25 each way which would be a $50 savings verses using fedex or ups.

One time my sister came to visit and when we drove her to the airport for her return trip, we forgot her 22" carryon bag at home. Thankfully she had her ID in her purse! I ended up shipping her clothes to her in a box. It cost $9 to send regular mail.
