Hi,

I am curious if anyone has ever purchased the Orlando Entertainment book for use on their trip? I am considering this purchase to help with the cost of off-site meals. ( ie: buy one, get one free)

If you have purchsed one of these books to use on your vacation, please post your experience. I really appreciate all the info on these boards. It is such a great source!

Thank you in advance!

This is actually the first one I have purchased for the Orlando area - 2003 edition. So I will use it for at least 2 trips (one coming up soon!). But we almost always have one for our local area that we use quite a bit... so I'm ready to check everything out!

I actually have used 2 already - discount on National car rental and got our friends a great deal on weeks stay in a 2-bedroom condo right near Downtown Disney (you have to go to their online site and register your book for that one)!

Then I have clipped the BOGO offers at Jungle Jims and at Baskervilles (at Grosvenor Resort) and the grocery store ones ($5 off $50 purchase) that will be used. Plus all those McDonald's and other fast food ones will likely be used by someone in our group. We will probably keep it in the car (like we do with the TX edition at home) to make sure we have it when we need it.

I placed my order for the Orlando 2003 edition on the internet and it arrived in Calgary within 2 weeks. The current edition includes a good selection of higher end restaurants, casual dining and of course fast food. For us, the highlights are the BOGO offers for Arthurs 27, miniature golf, fast food and the deep discounts ($15) at Arabian Nights. The book will easily pay for itself and then some.

You guys are great! Thank you so much for your detailed info!

I really appreciate your time!

Thanks for the info on the Orlando Entertainment Book!

Someone told me that I can purchase the 2003 NJ entertainment book and use the card for our trip in April to get the entertaintment book discounts. Does anyone know if this is true? I've never purchased an entertainment book before and I'd like to purchase one for some of the discounts for our trip. Or do I need to purchase one for Orlando to get the discounts? Thanks!

Glennsgirl,

I just purchased the NJ entertainment book. I'm going to used it mainly for the car rental discounts and the Universal hotel discounts.

Mousesavers explains it!

We purchased the Orlando Entertainment book for our last 2 week trip. I also have a detailed Orlando area map and I went thru the Entertainment book page by page to see what was where. We used it for hotel discounts, several meals, snacks and some offsite entertainment, including mini golf, dinner shows, etc. We saved over $250! When we dropped off the car at MCO on our way home, we left the book on the seat for someone else in the area to use it.

Thanks Cheschirekitty & ncbyrne for the info. I'm gonna check out mousesavers.

kelljacques the BOGO offer at Jungle Jims is an entree for an entree. And online they have a printable coupon for a free appetizer.

BOGO is buy one get one free and there are many offers in an Entertainment book. Fine dining (Arthur's 27), casual dining (Bubbaloos Bodacious Barbeque - Love that name!) fast food (McDonald's) attractions etc. etc. As far as using an entertainment card from New Jersey or any other place, that would apply only to the offers that are non coupon. You would need to know which restaurants are in the book using the member card vs. using a coupon. If there are more than 3 in your party, take your local card and buy an Orlando book to save on 2 entrees. If you visit the entertainment book website ( I posted that earlier in the thread) you can check out a complete listing of their offers.

By the way, anytime I vacation in just one area, I send away for the entertainment book for that area. It's a great way to save and plan your dining expenses.
