Has anyone ever made several requests and gotten all of them?

Most people are saying don't count on it, BUT someone must have gotten their requests meet at some point or else why do we bother making them? My plan is to fax and call 5 days ahead (Dis Cm told me to do this) and then also smile really big and be very pleasant at Check in. I have no idea if this will work, but I am going to try anyway.

99% of the time my requests have been met. If I request say: bldg x, floor x pool side...I will get 2 out of 3 granted. If I request just say bldg x & floor x, I usually get it. Hope this helps

Our first trip as a family in June 2002 we stayed at POFQ. I requested general things like some place that would have little foot traffic due to noise concerns and a view of the water would be nice. I got Building 1, third floor facing kindof a little park like area and the river. I was not charged for a water view. The only thing bad about asking for something quiet is we were just about as far away from everything you could be and still be in POFQ. Then, last March we stayed at Pop. I requested 50s building, 4th floor due to noise again and facing the lake hoping we could see the fireworks. I got all three. I guess that is kinda bad cause now I will expect to get my requests next trip.

I asked for non-smoking on zebra trail with bunk beds at AKL and got all 3 requests. I realize that I may not get the requests, but I consider myself lucky when my requests are met! :flower:

We have gotten most of them. Like we asked for non-smoking, adjoining rooms close to the lobby and got nonsmoking adjoining rooms, sort of close to the lobby. And we were surprised because the resort (ASMo) was at 100% capicity. I requested it when I made the reservations and when I checked in.

Be aware that when you think you are talking to someone at the resort you are most likely talking with someone at the WDW call center. If you have your requests listed in your reservation no need to fax or call.

If you are too specific you may not get your results. Personally I like to just check in and ask when I get there. I have seen the CM's eyes light up when they can sprinkle a little magic on your resort stay.

I requested ground floor North Garden Wing when I checked into CR in March. It was the week before Easter, so it was pretty busy. I checked in at 1 p.m. and had to wait until 4:30 p.m. for that room to be ready. Another room would have been ready sooner, but I really wanted North Wing ground floor. I was anticipating having to wait for our room since check-in time was 3 p.m.

I think the requests that are hard to get are when people request and expect to get free upgrades.

We have always requested non smoking room as well as an upper floor in a specific section at the resort. We have always gotten these requests. Our priority is really just the non smoking but since we always seem to get the requests, we keep asking. Cant hurt! :cool1:

It seems like we always get ours. But then, we almost always go in value season, when there's not so much demand for rooms.

For instance, our usual requests have been fridges (now in all Deluxe rooms), microwaves (most Deluxes have these), certain areas and floors. We've never NOT gotten requests like this. We've never requested specific rooms, though.

::MickeyMo During all of our other resort stays, we always had Preferred Rooms so never really bothered with any requests other than non-smoking or Alligator Bayou while at POR (because we had 5 and needed the Trundle).

::MickeyMo We stayed at Pop Century at the end of May. I requested non-smoking, an upper floor with a pool or lake view, and 50's or 70's. We ended up in Building 6 of the 70's, second floor with a view of the lake, and non-smoking. :)

::MickeyMo For our upcoming trip to All Star Movies at the end of September, we requested non-smoking, connecting rooms (we need 2 rooms this time), 101 Dalmatians (my DD's request princess: LOL), and 3rd floor.

::MickeyMo So we'll just wait and see what they decide to give us. LOL Doesn't matter too much...IT"S STILL WDW!!!! :wizard: Rebecca

We were at POR in May. I faxed in my request for three rooms close together with two connecting. I also asked for AB Bldg. 18, ground floor, non-smoking, and as close to the pool as possible without being charged for waterview. We got all our requests.

I almost hate to say this (don't want to jinx us) but I've gotten 100% of everything I've requested (or better) on all our trips. I usually request non-smoking, a certain bedding configuration and a general area.

The "or better part" is being upgraded from a garden view to lagoon view at the Poly. At AKL I'd requested a high floor when making our ressie. We were there the second week it was open and I mentioned to the CM checking us in that I wanted a high floor in order to see the animals better. She told me she thought the view was better from the 2nd floor and I went with her suggestion - she was right - it was great!

Perhaps it's because I don't get super specific with the area, and/or we don't go at peak times - but we've been really fortunate with requests.
