Has anyone ever heard of Thymoma???

I just found out that my exH grandmother has Thymoma and is going in next Wednesday to have it removed. I have been looking for a good explaination of it but most of the things on the web are gibberish to me, can anyone explain in english for me, Please???? Thanks
