Today, my fiance told me about something that happened to her on her one and only trip to WDW (in 2003) that I've never heard of in all my trips there (my last one was in '98 or '99, I don't remember which).

She said that she was in line for Big Thunder Mountain and some guy came up to her and gave her a lanyard that had a card or a pass or something on the end of it and he told her that when she got off that ride, she should pass it to someone else. My fiance said it was something like "Pass Around The Park". Has anyone ever heard of something like that? And if so, do they still do it?

I have never heard of that . The closet thing i have seen like that is the green card (or sometimes blue) that the CM at the begining of the line will give you. You are supposed to hand it to the CM before you coard the ride. They use this to determine the wait times posted on the boards

This is what I was thinking. It works great when you remember to give that to the last CM! :rolleyes1

This is the only thing that has ever happened to us except our cards are always white for some reason. We go to WDW a lot and have been for a long time and I have never heard of "Pass around the Park", but there are a lot of people that go to WDW so the odds of one person giving us the lanyard are kind of slim. Interesting concept. I wonder if it was something someone was trying to start.

No, but I was lucky enough to experience the CM in the Haunted Mansion ride dressed in a suit of armor jumping out at people during Halloween time at Disneyland. I was 12 and I seriously almost pee'd my pants. As I understand it, that only happened one year. I was just glad I wasn't on that side of the carriage/chair because he grabbed my friend instead of me. She was jittery for about an hour after that.

Back in March, at the entrance to the line, a CM gave my dad a red lanyard with a card on the end of it at (I think) Winnie the Pooh in MK. He had to give it to the CM who told us where to line up for our honey pot. First time I'd ever seen one or heard of it. No clue about a "Pass Around the Park" though. :confused3

In February of this year we went to WDW for my burthday. On the way into the Haunted Mansion ride one of the CMs at the front wished me Happy Birthday and asked me to hand off a lanyard with a card on it to one of the CM inside the ride but only after I was seated in the buggy. He said it was to time the length of the ride.
