Has anyone ever had anything stolen from your stroller?

Have you ever had anything stolen from your stroller while at the park. I always see stroller after stroller with easily accessable items(bags of souvenirs, cameras, purses, toys) that is in plain view. I often wonder if anyone ever takes these items. What came about it? I seem to be so paranoid, covering everything up with a blanket. I even make sure my daughters sippy cup is put away so another child doesn't excitedly see it and drink out of it.
One time I came out of the Haunted Mansion and my stroller was moved to a different area. I thought for sure it was gone. I found it and assumed a cast member moved it for a good reason or someone mistaked it for their own. Hmm....just wondering.

I'm going to knock on wood before I say this, but NO...I've never had anything stolen out of our stroller. My sister has always followed the same practice and neither has she. (Between the two of us, we're talking over 20 combined trips to WDW). We don't go as far as leaving items such as cameras in plain view, but we do leave them. Disney is extremely family oriented. I would venture to say that any stoller mishap would most likely be a case of mistake "identity."

And oh, by the way...the cast members do rearrange the stroller parking areas! It is VERY COMMON to come out of a ride or attraction and have to search for it. A helpful tip would be tying a balloon, bow or something noticable onto it so that it's easier to spot from a distance.

Hope this helps!

We are ap holders at DL. We go about once a week. I finally went out and purchased a lime green stroller to use at the parks. It is easy to spot and small enough to push through the crowds. I have seen a couple of the same strollers, but usually not parked at the same ride. The first time we took our daughter, we bought her a big balloon towards the beginning of the day. Well, the rest of the day it was constantly getting in our way or we were trying to keep it out of other people's way. So, from that day on we decided if we buy a balloon, it is towards the end of the day =)

DH accidentally left his new hat in the stroller and someone swiped it. After that, we didn't leave anything in it.

When we took our stroller from home we never had anything stolen but we also never left anything of real value in it either, just some snacks, some bottles of water, autograph book (hidden behind other objects), etc. When we used a WDW stroller we had a bottle of water stolen once and my nephew had his autograph book stolen. My rule of thumb is if I have something I want to keep then it goes on the ride, in the attraction, in the restuarant, etc. with me regardless of what type of stroller I am using.

My DD7 at time, favorite Pink Camoflaughe sweater was taken . She was devastated all week ;) . We check Lost and Found all week but no avail. The funny thing was, i kept checking out the other little girls walking around to see if anyone had her sweater. :goodvibes . So, I HAD to get her a Disney sweater, which made her happy..

Yes, we have. After leaving lots of stuff over several trips without a problem...we mistakenly left the camera in the cupholder near the handles of our stroller on our last trip - so it was our own fault for leaving such a high-value (and so e-Bayable) item out in clear view for the taking.

I remember reading in the unofficial guide to WDW a few years back about identifying strollers and how to make sure no one takes yours. A father had written in that what he did was take a disposable diaper and pour some rootbeer into the diaper to make it look "used", then put it into one of those diaper disposal sacks, and tied that to the handle of the stroller. Apparently, no one dared touch or take anything from their stroller all week! :lmao:

We have never had a problem in all our trips. This past trip we came out of Buzz and our stroller was missing DD's beloved stuffed puppy (that she carries everywhere with her but mom and dad didn't want her to bring in on the rides...ironically so it wouldn't get lost) and our spray water bottle. I'd like to think that someone took it by accident...but it's a little hard to believe.

To identify our stroller (we have a Maclaren so there are a LOT of them), we put a small license plate (from Toys R Us) with the Princesses and DD's name on it. Makes it easier to spot.

No we haven't but we usually put all our stuff below in the basket. I keep the camera/camcorder on myself though. We do have a clip-on fan that we throw underneath when we leave the stroller. So far we are lucky!

So far, we've never had anything go missing, but we don't leave anything of value in it.
