Has anyone ever had a wrong name on their docs?

We're on the 12/28 sailing, got our docs today. My husband's name is completely wrong, they have it as "middle name, first name" rather than "first name, last name". Of course the TA and DCL are closed for the weekend. I know it isn't our mistake, every receipt etc. we ever got from the TA was correct.

So has anyone else had this happen? What will happen next?

Call DCL on Monday or your travel agent so new tickets for your husband can be sent out. NOthing major especially when it's still about a month away. You have time.

When I made arrangements for my whole family last year, I accidentally gave the TA my sister's first married name (even tho she had been divorced thankfully for 20 years). Sis didn't bother to read the docs until the day they were to leave driving to the cruise. DU was able to get everything corrected in a very short time period (like an hour).

Either you or your TA need to call DCL to correct the information in their system and then you only need cross out the incorrect info on the docs and write in the correct info. DCL will most likely NOT issue new documents.

Kaa is correct....it is very unlikey DCL will issue new documents. They have have you cross out wrong name and write in new name.

The names in the system are what matters most....as long as it is correct in their data base and that name matches up with your official ID, then you will be fine!!!

Thank you all. I had a moment of panic there. The TA had just better not mention a fee for a name change! I'm amazed that it could be so simple. Will call on Monday and make sure it's in the system correctly. Thanks!
