I was wondering if anyone ever had a serious premonition and had it come true? Was it about yourself or someone else? I have had a thought all year about something and it is getting real close to the time. I am counting the days till this "thought" would be finished. It is not constant, just there.

Yes, it happens to me all the time unfortunatly. And it isn't always nice!

Yes, Im convinced I have ESP.

One of the big ones that stands out to me was when I was 20. I went out for the night with my then BF and my friend. We made a few stops over the night and each time we were in the car I was nagging BF to drive carefully...I just had a bad feeling. After a while I put my seatbelt on and said "I dont want to die tonight". I never wore my seat belt back then. We had dropped my friend off and were on the way back to my house when a car on the other side of the road hydroplaned in a puddle and hit us head on. The cars were totalled. When police arrived they said if I hadnt had my seatbelt on I would have been through the windshield and probably dead(BF had the airbag, I didnt).

I am very glad ComColt that you had that premonition and you put your seat belt on that night.
Cause if you didn't you wouldn't be here to talk to us today:D

Yep! All the time as well. My dad, me, my mom, my sis, cousins & now my 12yodd...
I think of it as more as being psychic or perhaps ghostly interventions too.
Not sure exactly but nothing you can do about it.

Many, Many times!!! Some good ones are when I sometimes have a good feeling that we are going to win our basketball games!!! Sometimes I have a bad feeling about it, and we lose!!!

I had this horrible feeling on the day that my grandmother died, the same with my granddaddy:eek: :(

Sometimes I can just kinda think of like, a simple yes or no question and based on the feeling I get, I kinda know whats gonna happen!! It's weird, but sorta cool!!:D :D

I wasn't sure if I should post this or not but from the replies I have some courage. I have had a premonition all year that I would die of a heart attack by the end of this year. I "knew" it wouldn't be until Dec. I am trying to figure out if it is a warning that something is wrong with my heart and I need to do something about it or I am thinking of someone else. What do you do with this "information"? I have had heart attack symptoms but as I am a female who is younger than 50 no one (Dr. wise) will take me seriously. I also don't know if these "symptoms" are because of my premonition (which I don't dwell on all the time) or because they are real. I can't get another Dr. as we are lucky to even have a Dr. There is a real shortage of Drs. so if you get one you had better keep her/him. What would you do? (There is absolutely no thoughts of suicide)

I PERSONALLY WOULD LISTEN TO THESE PREMONITIONS OR INNER VOICE(AS MANY CALL IT). PERHAPS IT IS NOTHING...BUT IT DOESN'T HURT TO HAVE YOUR HEART CHECKED OUT. I WOULD TALK TO YOU DOCTOR AND INSIST ON HAVING IT TAKEN CARE OF!

Yep I sure do have them ALOT!! Sometimes they don't happen and sometimes they do, but sometimes they scare the crap out of me!! Sister and I have some sort of connection going on. This summer I was driving down the road, it was raining really bad and I had this terrible terrible feeling I was going to get into an accident. On that same day at the exact same time Sister (worm761) was in Ohio 900 miles away and got into an accident!! Nothing serious thank God, but was enough to make me realize that we do have some sort of connection!

Yes, more before I had kids than after. The last big one was when I pitched a fit until my Dad went for a long overdue checkup right after my first child was born. He had prostate cancer, been treated and in remission ever since. My son is now 13.

I saw the entire process of my mother having heat exhaustion and being rushed to the hospital on vacation minutes before it happened. Vividly, every word, every little detail.

When we heard the sirens last year in class I knew it was a member of our senior class and that he had died. I just knew it was one of our classmates, and I knew the outcome.

Honestly, it can be frightning. I have a good sixth sense about little things too. I just get very strong feelings. I can tell when my boyfriend lies about stupid things, same with friends. I often get "how did you know that", and I honestly have no idea.

I have as well, though most of mine have come in dreams. I dreamt that my best friend was moving away months before she decided to.

A few nights ago, I was taking my walk, when I realized I had to go. It wasn't bad, but I figured, let me go inside and take care of it so I don't think about it. Anyway, I go inside, and immediately smell gas. I find that I had left one of the burners on. I don't know what would have happened if I hadn't come back...maybe nothing, maybe the place would have burned down, maybe the pets would have died from gas inhalation...and while it wasn't a premonition, it was more like "divine guidance." In any case, I'm really glad I had to go at that moment!

I've learned to always trust my intuitions. In HS I was driving home from school w/ my friends and got caught in a long line of traffic. Someone said "it must be an accident" and I immediately had a flash of my friend's truck VERY vividly in my mind. I dismissed it and found out the next day that he in deed had got into the accident we were sitting in traffic for.

About 2 days later I was on the internet (before we had 2 lines) and I just got this terrible feeling about my dad and that I needed to keep the phone line open for him. I started to bawl b/c I didn't know what was wrong. He came home safe and sound about a half hour later, so I thought everything was fine. The next day I found out there had been a shooting in the parking lot where my dad was 5 minutes after he left and 2 passerbys were killed.

So yeah, the other night I got a vivid picture of my mom in my head and I didn't hesistate to call home at 1 a.m. Luckily all is well, but it's still a good idea to check those things out.

Is it possible for you to go to the Emergency Room when you are having the symptoms, maybe then you can get someone to listen to you.???

Yep, I do too. So far it hasn't been anything to do with my health or anyone elses.

I would get checked out as soon as you can. At the very least it could help to ease your worry.

I too would get a test to make sure and put your at peace but do you think it could be anxiety?...my DH has almost died 2 times now and he is so obsessed with death it frightens me.

Take care of yourself and make the DR. listen to you. It is your body...you know what is best.

Actually I wish it was anxiety. I am not obsessed with it at least so far. I have had this feeling since last Christmas. Only that I needed to get everything done before the end of the next year, which is this year. I went to the Emergency room on Fri. and waited for 2 1/2 hrs. We finally left. I have an appointment tomorrow with my Dr. so I guess I'll see. I really don't think she will even listen to me but I guess it's worth a try. The funny thing that seems to be happening as well is that my normally very low blood pressure seems to sky rocket all of a sudden. After deep breathing and some meditating it seems to go down. At the hospital on Fri. they did take my blood pressure and it was 160/100. My normal pressure is 100/55 to 110/60. I guess I just got worried because I have "felt" things or dreamt them. I really have tried in the past to ignore these "feelings" as I was always told (as a child) that they were wrong and not to tell anyone. Well, I'll find out tomorrow.

I had a positive premonition connected with WDW!

on a WDW trip with my grandmother in 1999, it was 3am, we were leaving WDW by van to go to the airport, and I had a very strong feeling that I'd be back there 2 or 3 years with some new person, definitely not a family member. I had no idea who. I felt it was probably someone I didn't even meet yet!

In 2000 I met my BF, and in 2001 I went to WDW with him!

Wow, Tigercat with that blood pressure and they weren't concerned? You would think they would have done some tests on the spot because of your blood pressure!

I hope you are able to get some answers today at your appointment but speak up and don't be afraid to let this Dr. know that you want some tests and you are entitled to them ...(I've had so many unpleasant experiences with Dr. that I know what you are feeling! believe me!)

Good luck to you! and some ((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))too!
