If so - how did you fing one?

TIA!

I asked my doc for a referral. Any time I get off track, I just thimk about what she would tell me about how I'm "behaving". I only had a few visistsa with her. DH went to one for several months, and she gave him specific meal plans, exercises and strategies, plus weigh ins an all kinds of motivational goodies. Worth the cost, either way. Good Luck!

My doctor did refer me to one at one time but I must be honest at that time I wasn't ready to lose weight and didn't ever make an appointment. He said they would do basically what Tracy mentioned so it would definitely be worth your while to hear what they have to say I think. Maybe your general doctor could suggest someone.

Thanks - I didn't think to ask my GP.

I went to a dietician. My doctor referred me. Most hospitals staff them. It was extremely helpful and I would do it all over again. Not that I always do what she says, but when I am ready to get back on track it is extremely helpful to follow her advise. It was the only way I was able to lose the last 10lbs last year, which have found their way back but I am working on it again.

If you belong to a gym, you might want to check to see if they have one. I know that my YMCA has one on staff.
