Has anyone ever eaten at Bahama Breeze - off DW property?

Yes, and we love it! It was recommended by a friend who had been before. We have gone on our last two trips, on one trip we went twice! We usually combine it with a trip to the Premium Outlets (we go to the WDW outlet and some others, great souvenirs, cheaper prices).

Good, varied menu and good prices close to DtD. There is an outdoor seating area with live music, you can eat there or just wait on a table there.

We have eaten there as well. We went last time for an early dinner and already very crowded. The food was great!

We've never eaten at the one in Orlando but have at the one down by my house and it's great. We almost went there last night actually!

We haven't eaten at the one in orlando, but have eaten at the one near our house. It is ok, typical theme restaurant wiht prices similar to DTD restaurants.

We love bahama breeze. We try to eat there as soon as we get into town. My favorite thing on their menu is the talapia tostada.

It's one of the Darden restaurants. Bahama Breeze, Red Lobster, Smokey Bones, and once had a chain called China Coast as well.

Is it in Naples or Ft Myers? Where is this one? Would love to go there in March.

And to answer the Question? I have eaten at the one in Indy, after the one by WDW got good reviews. And thought it was very good. Did not care for the Gumbo/soup did not have much favor to me. But love the Ahi Tuna Salad.

Like the above poster said it is in the Darden Family so if you like dardens other places you will more than likely like this one.

Oh yes, many many times. It is definately yummy.

The live music, the food, the atmosphere all wonderful.

Go and enjoy.

Best meal of our last trip. Best waiter, best food, best experience. We will definitely go back!!

Isn't Olive Garden owned by them as well?

Maybe I was there on an off night, but I didn't think it was very good at all. Nice atmosphere but the food I had was very unimpressive....sorry to disagree

We just ate there for the first time this week. It was delicious and I think the prices are very reasonable for the serving size. I had the rare Ahi Tuna-it was the best I've had and the serving size was very generous. We will definitely eat there again (on our next visit.)

We had ressies since we were a party of 14 and our Florida relatives like to eat early so our ressie was for 5:30. We sat for dinner about 6 and by the time we left, the place was busy. I think we ate there on Sunday night.

I've eaten there...the food was good but the service was just so-so...

I think it is a 'locals' hangout as I ate there with a friend who lived in the Orlando area.

Thanks so much everyone! We can't wait to give it a try. We'll aim for early on a weekday and try to miss the crowds.

:thumbsup2 DH and I really enjoyed it. We went for lunch on a weekday, so we did not find it crowded at all. Good food and reasonable prices too.

Yup, its a nice place to go. Try to go not on a friday/saturday around 7pm though. I stopped at the one on I-Drive last thursday(almost the weekend) and by 6pm, the wait was 2-3 hours.

DH, DBIL and I had dinner there in November of 2004 (I had gift cards). I thought the drinks were pretty lousy (expensive, no trace of alcohol), but the food was ok. Just be warned, the portions are huge. We could not begin to finish what we had.

There is one in Cherry Hill NJ now and my Mom goes there all the time and raves about it.

Hope you enjoy!
