Has anyone ever brake a bone?

Lots of broken bones...

I broke my arm when I was a kid playing softball and sliding into a plate....

Broke my nose in high school in gym playing basketball...

Broke my small toe when I was pregnant with my youngest triipping over a door stop..I could not see....

Broke my finger and my thumb in a car door slamming on them....

I have broken a toe, my foot and and my neck, in three different incidences.

Shattered my tibia and fibula as well as the 5th metatarsal on my left leg. 3 1/2 months off it. No weight bearing at all. Still gives me problems.

Yup. When I was two years old, I broke my legs. I was in one of those big home rennovations stores with my parents and a model door fell on my legs.

I had to be in a cast for a long time. My mom still has the pictures.

A broken collar bone can be very painful. Mine was broken along with 13 other bones when a Semi truck came off the freeway and ran the stop sign at the end of the ramp where I was crossing with my little mustang 2:earseek: It is a miracle I am still alive. Two men were there instantly. They reached through the broken glass and began to pray for me. My lung was punctured and I was bleeding internally. I don't want to make this too long, but the end of the story is... I came through all of it without any surgery! Even my doctors knew it was a miracle::yes::

Broken ankle when I was 9, broken ankle again at 12, broken wrist at 13 and a couple of cracked ribs from coughing so hard when I had Pneumonia in the 9th month of my first pregnancy!

Oh and a broken little toe last year!

Cracked my elbow when I was 5. Was playing horsey with my grandfather (you know, bouncing on his lap), and he let go! Ouch!

Haven't done too bad in all my 53 yrs, since I just broke my big toe on my left foot a month ago, and had a bad sprain on my right ankle. No other broken bones though.......but have bad knees since I severed my ACL on my right knee, and my meniscus is shredded on my left knee. No surgery for me though, as long as I can walk...

During my sophomore year of high school, I threw shotput in track & field. A week before league finals I was riding in the backseat of a car with two girls from my team, my friend had just received her driver's license. She fishtailed out of the school parking lot and the car rammed into an electric pole, head on. It was actually good because the only other thing to run into was a brick wall! I fractured my rib and my coach wouldn't let me sit out for finals. He told me to just take some Ibuprofen. I could barely put my hair in a ponytail and he wanted me to throw an 8 pound ball?? So I did, and threw horribly!

Then during my junior year, the day of the league finals, I broke my big toe - I was the last one in the locker room while the bus was waiting outside. I was rushing, so I set my shotput, in it's bag, on the bench (uh, stupid me. Hello, it's round! :confused3 ) and it rolled off and landed right on my toe!! I was only wearing a sock! :earseek:

I hobbled out to the bus, got a bench to myself and pulled off my sock, it was already black and blue!! I was set to get first place according to the stats. :( But I still threw and ended up with fifth. Luckily, my dad was at the track meet and took me to the dr. right after.

Then, a few years ago I tripped in a pothole and broke my ankle. I ended up needing a metal plate and screws! Which then had to be taken out 8 months later. It's been 4 years and it still swells

Heck lemmee see.....

I brake my Klavicle when I was 6th months ole...

and I fraktured my rist when I was 9 y.o.

:p

No broken bones for me - knock on wood.

I fractured my ankle while working my summer job at a local amusement park. A little girl had gotten her jacket stuck in the ride, and I was trying to get it unstuck. The jacket came loose, and I stumbled backwards over a bar that was about a foot off the ground and fractured it. Had to tell some adults waiting in line to go to the ticket booth to call for a supervisor. As I was lying on the ground, a kid in line asked when I was going to get up and run the ride again!!

I broke my right wrist in 9th grade. I was a cheerleader and when I was tossed up the girl on that side didn't catch me right which caused my wrist to slam into the ground. The bone actually came through the skin. It didn't hurt at first since I went into shock, but it sure hurt like heck in the ambulance on the way to the hospital! I still have a faint scar from it.
