Has anyone ever booked DLRP via DVC?

I'm trying to book a couple of nights in Oct at Disneyland Resort Paris using my points. Whenever I call member services they tell me that they are only taking bookings through Sep 11th and won't know when October will be available. They just ask me to keep calling back which i've been doing for the last 6 weeks...

Anyone else had this trouble with getting their ressie dates? DVC say that you can book up to 11 months in advance for Paris! I'm starting to get worried that I may not get my dates. Is there anything else I can do?

Thanks :)

Hi, we have used DVC points twice for DLRP when we couldn't manage a trip to WDW.

Whilst I agree it is a lot of points compared to WDW we felt it was worth it to get our Disney fix.

We have always gone in August or September and I seem to remember having to wait for the points to be released each time. The points per night vary from year to year so DVC have to wait until DLRP release the rates so that they can then decide the points value per night.

As soon as the winter rates/brochures are out then DVC should have the points. We have not had a problem getting what we wanted as most people don't use them for this.

We have used points for SL both times - the first we got a standard room but the second they upgraded us to a Montana room with lake view - not sure if this was because we were DVC or not!

Thanks for your replies. Unfortunately I'm unable to go to WDW this year and I need to use my points so I figured a short stay at DLRP would be just the thing :thumbsup2

I didn't realise the points value may change. I just looked at the points chart! So, there's a chance the points value may go up then?

That's a relief thanks. Is there any way of finding out when these rates will be released?

Thanks :)

Just keep phoning and asking. We used our points for Disneyland Paris resort in October a few years ago and it seemed to take ages before they released them but you have to just keep phoning member services.

We have used our points also on an exchange in Devon and we are using them for a disney cruise this year.

Oh yes, I will! One of the CMs the other night said she'd spoken to me a few times before :rotfl:
I really hope they release these dates soon...

I'm confused now too....we have the points schedule for DLRP in our Dreams book we were given at the introduction tour in May!! We have the paperwork to sign up for the DVC already but we are waiting for a document amendment before we can sign (they got the addresses majorly wrong!!). We wont be able to use the "free" points we're getting by the end of Jan 08 on a trip to WDW so we're planning on DLRP in December as a belated anniversary trip....

I hope we'll still be able to book when they let us.... :(

Finally after weeks of trying, DVC are now taking bookings for DLRP through Dec 31st!

I have just booked our trip for October but unfortunately Hotel NY wasn't available. I guess DLRP must have been fully booked ages ago for that one. So it's the Sequoia Lodge for us :)

Glad to hear that you got something sorted :goodvibes
As DLP is celebrating its 15th birthday it has been a busy year so far :)

Can you let us know what points per night you got at Sequoia - was it the same as those published in the Dreams book?

We managed to book using DVC points on Monday - we'd been calling daily to find out when they were released and hit the jackpot on Monday when DBF made his daily call!! We managed to get the Disneyland Hotel which is what we wanted - special trip for us so we're splashing out on our points!!

Bookings for Eurostar opened for the new station and the dates we needed on 24th so I sorted that and now we're sorted!!

Yes, I'd been calling pretty frequently also and practically gave up in the end. I had such I shock when they said they were taking bookings!!

I would have loved to have stayed at the Disneyland Hotel but decided to book 2 short trips instead :goodvibes One for Halloween season and the other for Christmas season :cool1: I hope that Sequoia Lodge will be nice.
How many nights are you going for? I bet you are so excited!!

We're there for 3 nights - the new timetable on the Eurostar means we get there a bit earlier and leave a little later too so maximum Disney time!!

I'm sure Sequoia Lodge is lovely!!
