Has anyone ever been told their room was NOT ready when they checked in?

I have never had my room ready before "official" check in time, and many times it was well after 5pm before a room was ready. This is one of those areas where I am prepared for the room never to be ready and I will be surprised if I ever get one that is ready when I check in.

Funny...we have checked in all times of day from 9am until close to midnight, and the only time we had to wait was at POR when we got there at 5:30 pm!..

Please note that the confirmation notice that you receive in the mail, clearly states that rooms will be available after 3pm--- not at 3 pm , except for at the Home Away from Home resorts, Fort Wilderness and AllStars where rooms may not be ready until after 4 pm, not at . Many people opt to use the late checkout option, so that pushes the times that Mousekeeping can have rooms ready back a bit. Please be patient, go to the parks, have something to eat, visit your luggage in the storage area, if need be--- it is always accessible to you, and if you need to shower and change clothes, you may use the facilities located at the pool at the resort!
