I went in to B&N yesterday at 2pm to put my name on the list to purchase one for DD14's Christmas present. The girl told me that they had received word that a chipment had went out on Monday and she would probably be calling me today (Wednesday). Fast forward 2 hours, I'm back out at the shopping center where our B&N is with DD14 when I receive a call that it's here already, four days before the predicted premiere! DD now knows that she is getting it as I had to pick up right away. So far it's a great little device. Only problem I had was when she tried to sign in on it initially it refused to rcognize our password and locked me out of the account. Waited for 30 minutes to receive reset email finally called and reached someone in the Phillipines. He couldn't find my email in the system even though I'm a very long term regular B&N customer and she had just purchased a Nook download the other day. Finally got it taken care of and reset my password to the original one! It's seems to charge quickly, now we'll see how quickly it discharges!

) She seems over the moon about it and was able to load all of her books onto it, another plus as she would not be able to read those on a Kindle Fire. It comes preloaded with Pandora, Netflix and Hulu Plus. All you have to do is sign in if you already subscribe to these. Internet seemed to work pretty good, I signed her into Facebook through the web since the app they have for it is a paid one. You can bookmark pages as well. Not that impressed with the app selection but if you have internet you can just bookmark
