a cavity? Just curious. I am 23 and I have never had a cavity. When people find this out they usually go into shock. :confused3 Is it that uncommon?

I didn't have any cavities until I turned 42. No cavities & straight teeth -- it was nice while it lasted. :)

When I turned 42 I found out that in one year I got 16 cavities! I cried. Lol

Oh my gosh! Did you inherit a candy store that year? :goodvibes

42 years old and still no cavities. But my dentist appointment is this Thursday.

I didn't have any until I turned 25 (now at 37 I have had 4). That was also the same year I had to start wearing glasses, got my wisdom teeth removed, and had my first stitches! My poor "old" body just went downhill from there - LOL.

I never had any cavities until I had my 2nd child (age 24). I had two kids in 2 years and my dentist said that does a number on your teeth. That year I had 2 cavities, each requiring a major root canal. None since.

43 and don't have any. :teeth:

My hubby has never had a cavity either and he's 42.

I'm not so fortunate as I have had many dental problems.

I got my 1st when I was 28. I'm 37 now and I've had 4 fillings. The dentist said they were VERY small. (Does size matter?) I go to the dentist next week.....

All of you young folk can thank fluoride for your great teeth. By the time I was 15, I had a filling in over half of my teeth. It wasn't because we had a lot of sweets or soft drinks. We rarely got to drink soda. Fluoride wasn't in toothpaste when I was young.

By the way, my DD 17 has never had a cavity and she drinks soda all the time. Yeah for fluoride!

I am a tad bit bitter about my cavities. I had not had any until I had braces and when the braces came off the cavities appeared. :(

Yep, my parents both had dentures when they were my age and my son has never had a cavity either. That flouride is one heck of a thing!

I wasn't blessed with good teeth. But I try to take good care of them. I've had several fillings/cavities and one root canal.

I have a few cavities from childhood, I have worked in dentistry for the last 8 years & have not had one since. I guess it makes you more aware to floss more often :goodvibes . Some people are just lucky, my DH has never had one either.

I have six. I got them when I was a kid. The dentist was all like, "Don't worry. They're in your baby teeth." Well, I'm 25 and I've only lost 9 baby teeth and am stuck with the fillings. I can't complain. I've never had any other problems.

I am 30 and cavity free so far. But have bad gum disease were I have to have deep cleaning yearly.

Can I slap ya all?!! Seriously, can I?
We grew up in the country, meaning well water! No flouride anywhere in sight except what you got in your toothpaste! My mouth is full of fillings and the teeth that don't have them.....caps! Sugar and soda was not prevalent in my house but I am 40 years old and my teeth fall apart. DM has bad teeth and I guess I inherited her luck. And to top it off, my teeth break symetrically in my mouth. So if the top molar on the left side of my mouth breaks, root canal, cap the works - the matching tooth on the right side will fall apart within a years time. At one point I had 3 root canals and 3 caps happening at the same time. :faint:

OT: I've got to go back to the Frumpy Mom Thread. It's no fun opening up a thread and seeing this beautiful, young blond woman with perfect teeth. I'm going to put on my mom jeans, pull my hair up in a pony tail and go sulk! :lmao:
