I was at sci fi cafe when the waiter asked the question are you enjoying your meal SIR!! Then when I was going into Mission space the young man said this way sir, he did actually come after me to appoligise but really!!!!!!

Well, my DP gets this all the time, especially when we are together (minds, I think, flip right to woman/man pairings), and I can't say it makes her happy, but she's pretty used to it and we just smile!

I do it to people sometimes but it's only because I call everyone sir or ma'am and sometimes if I'm not paying attention the wrong one slips out.

I've had this happen several times with guards at the resorts. They just speak to soon. My hair is short. I pull toward the booth and the first thing out of their mouths is "May I help you, sir?" Most of them apologized. One just looked embarrassed and said nothing else.
