Has anyone else had a dining and ticket package added to their 40% off room rate?

I had been told it couldn't be done. I just did it! I called back to add days to the front end of my stay at the same 40% rate (be careful--the CM's first numbers were way off but I had done the math so I caught it) Then, she asked me if I wanted to add a dining and ticket package. I told her that my understanding was that it couldn't be done. It took about a half an hour but the person who "works the packages" gave me the final number. While I was waiting I worked my own numbers to make sure it was a deal. I took my 40% rate and then added $40 per day per adult dining, $11 per day per child. Then, I added $270 per person for 10 day hoppers. These were rounded-off ball park numbers off the top of my head--just so that when she got back to me I would know if she was way off again like she had been at first when I added room days. It can be done. I think it may be hard to find someone who can/will do it. I really wanted the dining package just to simplify things. Yippee!! Oh, yeah...old ressie cancelled. New package deposit was only $200. All due 45 days before arrival. I will probably drop off a few days as our plans firm up. Right now we sit at 11 nights. I will probably drop off 2-3 days. I can do that up until 45 days before.

Let me know if anyone else already got this deal or if you are able to get it in the future.

Yes it can be done when I booked mine I could add the dining and tickets but they were at regular price.I think it all depends on the CM you get as to what they feel like doing.

When my Dh made our reservations the cm asked him if he wanted to add dining and dh said no just room only. Well, the more we thought about it we decided we DID want dining so he called back to get a price quote. The quote we got was accurate and included the 40% off room rate.

I booked (and changed) my 40% off resevations a few times and I never had a problem adding dining and tickets. As a matter of fact, all CM's I spoke to asked if I needed dining or tickets.

Us too! We booked dining and hoppers with the 40% off room rate at the same time.
My understanding is there were two codes from the onset, one for room only and one for a package.
Perharps the CM you spoke with when you make your reservation just forgot to offer you the package.

we were able to modify our trip in Dec. ... adding the dinning and tickets. It did take a long time but they were able to do it.
I thought you could only book 10 nights on the dinning package ... not 11.
We are going 10 nights/11 days and would like to add one more day but thought we could not.

We are definately booked with the dining package for 11 days. Maybe there is only a limit on the "free" dining packages? Not sure... Try calling back!

I know you can get the dinning package for 11 days/10 nights ... that is what we have right now for our December trip ... the OP has it for 12 days/11nights which I thought could not be done on a package ... I would like to add one more day to our December trip which would make it 12 days/11 nights at the AKL if it can be done (that would be 44 ts, 44 cs, and 44 snacks for four adults ... ages 39, 37, 14, 12)

The new limit for packages this year is 14 nights. Used to be 10 nights.

I am assuming you're joking...

In case I am wrong--no--I am not talking about free dining. When I booked my 40% room originally I was told I could not add a dining package to it. That proved not to be the case...

I originally booked tickets and paid dinning with the 40% off code. Not a problem at all. I did just cancel that reservation and took the new free dining promo instead.

You can't get FREE dining. You are welcome to pay for it however.
