Three years ago, my then boyfriend Bryan invited me to go with him to Disney World. I thought it would just be a wonderful trip to our favorite vacation spot. We stayed at the All Star Music hoyel. He made reservations for us to eat at the Polynesian Leau Dinner. When we arrived at the Polynesian, and sat down at the table. Bryan handed me a box containing a glass slipper. On one side of the slipper was written Bryan and Melody. On the other side was the words, "Will You Marry Me?" Then he handed me Mickey and Minnie proposal pins that pictured Mickey bending down on one knee and proposing to Minnie. Then Bryan handed me another box with the most beautiful engagement ring in it. It was such a wonderful moment. I told him "yes." We spent the next several moments on our cell phones calling all our family members. Then we danced to a wedding song on the stage. Bryan had told the restaurant ahead of time what was going to happen. The next day, we took a horse and buggy ride in the magic Kingdom, and the barbershop quartet sang "our song" to us (Unchained melodies). It was a trip never to be forgotten.

Next trip: December 8-11th, 2006 Port Orleans French Quarter

I've been proposed to in Disney World as well and by a Bryan! We went there in 1998 just for a trip and I was so excited. We dilly dallied down Main Street and then got to Cinderella's castle. Bryan got some cast members to take our picture in front of it since half of it was roped off for some reason. Bryan got down on his knee and kissed my hand (I thought he was just doing some dorky picture pose thing) and then he pulled out a box and said "I have a question for you" Of course I said yes and we have a ton of pictures of the whole thing. People stopped going through the tunnel of the castle to congratulate us. It was so wonderful especaily since it was done at my favorite place on Earth.

What a romantic story!! :goodvibes  I haven't been proposed to at WDW but have been dropping hints to my boyfriend about our upcoming trip in November. I have a feeling it will happen (as he knows I've always wanted to be proposed to there AND this will be our only trip for the next couple of years) I just don't want to know when and prefer it not to be in front of a bunch of people. Your proposal sounds so unforgettable and something you will treasure forever.

Nope not me, but sis did last year in Chef Mickey. Just check the siggy and you will see when we are coming down for the actual wedding. Service is not within the actual park but reception will be at chef mickey. :bride: :groom:

I proposed to DW in March 2000 on a bridge at CSR. We had driven all night from Lexington, KY to spend 5 nights at WDW. I didn't have a specific plan as to when I was going to do it. The time just seemed right. The bridge was empty, stars were out, and we were both deliriously happy about being at WDW (probably delirious from no sleep also).

We spent the next 5 days having a great time.

On a side note, we stayed at CSR in March 2005. I had business in Orlando. The first night we stayed there was the 5 year anniversary of our engagement. We stayed in the exact room we stayed in during our trip 5 years earlier and had dinner at the Cali Grill. DW thinks I'm romantic  , when I know I just have a penchant for writing things down (like the room number we were in in 2000) about my trips to WDW

We got engaged 2004 at Cinderellas castle...I sort of figured what was going on...We did the MVMCP a few days later and we had shirs that said we got engaged at WDW and the date and had a Christmas poto done with the shirts on. We honeymooned the next year 2005 at Disneyland and will be back at WDW on the same date we were engaged this year. This trip we will bring our grandchildren...you see got a husband, stepdaughter and granddaughter and granson all in the wedding package.

I popped the question to DW on a Wishes cruise. She said yes... we did a Disney Cruise on the Magic for our honeymoon in May of this year. We r both disney nutz.

I proposed to DW in May 2004 in front of the castle. It was such a wonderful experience and a memory that is still fresh in our minds. There was a woman who "caught the moment" and quickly snapped a picture. she ran in to us almost 3 hours later and flagged us down. She showed us the picture and we gave her our address so she could mail it to us. Only at Disney does magic like that happen :wizard: It was such a magical trip :goodvibes

We returned in Oct 2006 for our honeymoon  Disney holds a special place in our hearts and I could not think of a more magical place to display my ultimate affection for her than right there.

I am not engaged yet but oh I wish I was. I just want to say don't hope for it. I just went to WDW and everyone thought I was getting my bauble. (We are living together and have already gone ring shopping). I never really thought I was getting it, except for our MK day. We had a nice dinner at Ohana's with a castle view. I thought maybe then. Nope. Plus he was acting all lovey dovey at Wishes... but again... Nope.

I wasn't really expecting it, I was more secretly hoping for it so I wasn't disapointed.

So I hope you do get engaged, I just want to caution you not to get to excited over the prospect and have it ruin your trip if it doesn't happen!

And hopefully..... hopefully...... I will get engaged soon too.

Then it will be time to plan a Disney Wedding. :lovestruc

My DH proposed to me on the beach at CBR.

We had gotten up super early to catch our flight to WDW. We got to the airport to find out that he had arranged for upgrades the whole way! What a surprise for me! Then, when we got to WDW, we spent our first evening at DTD. My DD was just under two then, so we headed back to the hotel pretty early.

We let DD play in the sand for a bit while we relaxed in a hammock. DH had one arm under my neck and the other kind of hidden on his left side. All of a sudden, he reached around and had a box in his left hand. We had been talking about what we were going to do the next couple of days and he said "Well, how about doing something like this?" and showed me the ring!

I was so surprised! I had no clue that anything like that was going to happen! I didn't realize that he was even thinking about getting engaged!!!

So, we scooped up my DD and ran into our room to call our families (well, mine at least.....his knew all about it already).

What a great way to start off my absolute first trip to Disney ever!!!!!!

Add me to the list!

March 27, 1999 was the date.

I brought my then boyfriend (now dh) to Disney 3 times to Disney prior to that trip. He hated all things Disney.

The first trip he was in northern Fl for work so he drove down & spent one night a the All Star Sports with me & my cousin. He hated it & said he had a better night the night before outside & had a bigger room, kitchenette...

I practically had to beg him to go on the next trip. We split the stay outside to do Universal (pre-IOA) & then he let me book the WL because he didn't want to pay the Poly price (um..I was paying). He didn't like the WL.

The next trip I layed down the law & told him we were staying at the Poly (my fav  ). He grunted & grumbled but complied.

The next trip he said we could only stay at the Poly so I booked it & that first day/night I don't do a park since traveling makes me pooped.

That night we went to the beach & sat on the hammock in front of Tahiti waiting for the fireworks since they were early that night. He had his back pack with him & pulled out a teddy bear that had 1999 on it & it held a rose.

He told me to open the rose & there was my yesterday, today & tomorrow ring that I wanted (OK I told him when he did propose that was the ring I wanted).

I said, yes, we kissed & then got off the hammock & went to the GCH & asked when the water parade was starting & the CM told me my ring was very shiny & I told her I just go it.

My dh was petrified with the ring since he had it in his back pack the whole flight & the whole day. I think we went to DtD that afternoon too & he brought it there. He wasn't sure when he was going to do it (had to be the perfect time).

We got married in 2000. I got a 2000 brick with our wedding date on it (about 8 months before we got married) & used a picture of that as our wedding favors).

When we got married I had Cinderella invitations, I walked into the reception to MSEP music & our first dance was to "we can dance" (I think) from the Happiest Millionaire.

My dh has long since got over his hatred of Disney. He now requests to go on Buzz to whoop my tush in points & he loves Goofy's rollercoaster & finally got to ride it again last year with our then 4 yo & not feel so guilty that he was on it. That & other things he loves like the food that we have to eat.

We did not go on a Disney honeymoon which was fine (we went to Disney in Feb 2000 & got married in May 2000) but we went to Hawaii & felt like we were at the Polynesian & we even had a Dole Whip from the Dole plant in Oahu but in reality it just wasn't the same.

When we went in 2002, we went to AK one am, my dh always takes off his wedding band when he goes to bed or applies lotion/sunscreen unlike me & my ring is filthy from that. He forgot to put it on & realized as soon as we got to AK. We had to wait for another bus to bring us back & he ran back to the room & our room was made up already (this was now around 9am) & he looked on the dresser & there was his ring. His ring has diamonds on it. Thank god it was there but I know there are worse things in life, right?

I was proposed to last month at CRT.

Just before dessert came out, the server brought out a platter covered in rose petals. There was the Cinderella slipper with our names and "Will you be my princess?" The ring was slipped on a rose bud that was in the slipper.

It took me by complete surprise!

Best of all they had a Disney photopass person capture the whole thing! I didn't even realize she was there until after saying yes.

I was proposed to in Dec. 2005 at the GF.
We were taking a break out front where the buggy and car are sitting.
THen he did it. I was shocked!

We had a Cinderella themed wedding in Aug. and our Disneymoon is in November. I can't wait!!!

DH proposed to me on New Years Eve 2004 at Midnight in the middle of Wishes. I had no idea it was going to happen.

He told me later how terrified he was because he carried the ring lose in a zipped pocket on his pants all day long and had a hard time pulling it out with the zillions of people that seemed to be on Main Street during the fireworks.

December 1st of that year (2004) we went on our Honeymoon to WDW and the Wonder.

I got engaged during the Wishes Fireworks at the Magic Kingdom Sept. 2, 2005. It was so romantic, I had told my now fiancee' that I had really wanted to be proposed to that way and he did.

We are now planning our January 14, 2007 Disney Wedding at the Wedding Pavilion and our reception at the Grand Floridian. Complete with Mickey and Minnie and a ride in Cinderella's Coach. After that we will spend 2 days at AKL and off to catch the DCL Wonder for a cruise and our Disneymoon.... I guess you could say that I am a little Disney crazy.... :goodvibes

Nope, but maybe one day- we have been dating 7 years after all!!!! :rotfl:

We have another Disney trip coming up this November, but I'd be shocked if he did it then...a girl can dream though, right?! princess:

DH proposed behind Cinderella Castle during MVMCP. He actually ran and gave our video camera to a CM working underneath the Castle so we have it all on tape. :) It was absolutely perfect!!
