Has anyone eaten at the Dolphin Fountain since the renovations?

We were disappointed to see it closed for renovations in September. I've seen a few photos of it since, and it looks very different from before. Now there are stools where you can sit at the counter and eat.

Any reviews?

The food is just as good as always. Most of the same items on the menu. I liked the different seating options - booths, tables, stools - and also liked the ice cream area separate from the restaurant. IMHO it was a nice change.

Does anyone have any pictures of the new Fountain Restaurant? I hear they are closing Tubbies as well. For a renovation and a new name.

Oh, say it isn't so about Tubbi's! When is this supposed to happen? If it is closed during our Feb trip, dd is going to have a hissy fit. Tubbi's is her favorite place to eat. :teeth:

Tubbi's is closing for renovations too? Can anyone give firm dates on that?

Here are a few of the photos I've seen around the net.

Bumping in hopes of a few more reviews!

The Fountain and Tubbies (I hope it will be reopened by then) are two of our favs. We eat at Tubbies every day and pretty much someone in our party gets some sort of something from the fountain every night.

I will get some good pics of both while we are down there.

I guess I could post a review to my own thread!

We had a late lunch there the day we arrived. DH and I split a BLT with a side of fries. There was a ton of bacon on it with little to no fat (I took it off anyway, I don't eat pork.) Our waiter was super nice and efficient.

The restaurant was about 3/4 full when we ate there, so it seems like it's doing well!

I have always enjoyed the Fountain at the Dolphin. Particularly their grilled chicken sandwich. I actually prefer the food and atmosphere here more than Beaches and Cream. :teeth:

Our first day at the Swan last week we were exhausted from waking up at 4 AM and were waiting for our room. We were starving, went to the newly renovated Fountain, sat down and our eyes popped out of our heads at the prices. 10.00 for a chicken sandwich?! Despite our exhaustion we got up and dragged ourselves to Beaches and Cream where we left satisfied and with money still in our wallets!
