Has anyone done Tuesday Members Day?

DH and I attended member day on 7/29. We had a questionaire in our welcome home packet at our resort, which we filled out when we got there. It asked trivia type questions and you had to get a DVC cast member to autograph it and fill in the names of other members at member day who fit certain criteria. Then you handed in the questionaire and they gave us a lanyard that says DVC member and it had a starter pin. The lanyard was great for us to carry our room keys and annual passes for the rest of the trip. There were some characters there at Boardwalk (Mickey and Minnie) and some at BCV. They were doing trivia questions at BCV and had a model unit open. We also got BCV pins at the model and buttons and stickers. I know there were other activities, but that is all we did. Have fun! BTW, the barbecue was cancelled that day due to weather and I am not sure that they had any other kind of refreshments at all at either BW or BCV.
Oh, and be sure to check your welcome packet for other member day specials -- there was a discount on lunch at whispering canyon, and lots of other stuff. we did the lunch discount, but not the other stuff.

I am paying cash this visit, not using points. So I will not get a "welcome packet" Can I still do it?

I am sure you can. Just take your DVC card and show it to the front desk and ask for the member information, if you are staying at a DVC resort. If not, just walk over to the DVC office at the Boardwalk (I think we went around 3 or 3:30) and sign in. I think they will give you all the information there, as long as you have your ID. We saw some people doing that who had left all the information at their rooms.

I am sure you could just show your DVC card at the sign up table at the BW......double check on the BBQ before you head over to BCV in the heat!!! It may be cancelled even though the skies are sunny and bright (they cancel for pending thunderstorms)......

OKW was fun that day. They had 2 DJs at the pool and were giving out prizes.............we enjoyed it!!!
