I just got a postcard in today's mail with the infamous "pin number" for 40% off. I already have my vacation booked with AAA for August 17 - August 24. The postcard is good starting on August 21st. Would it be worth maybe splitting up my reservations? Or should I just hold out and hope for a promotion within my dates?

I can't change my vacation around. So that isn't an option.

I got the coupon as well! I called about a Christmas trip in the works. Here's what I was told. The coupon is linked to your info Disney has on you (based on your phone #) so you cannot give it to someone else. It is for 40% off your ROOM only! It applies to ALL rooms! Value to Deluxe!!! It CANNOT be combined with any other offer OR the Dining plan. It must be booked before 3/15. All the same cancelation rules apply. The exclusion of the Dinning plan has us debating the offer, but we will most likely book anyway and change it if something else comes around we can get dinning with. My other concern is..the dates seem to be short windows. Depending on how many of these coupons are floating around, those dates may become a little crowded! Don't know if I helped you, but at least I shared the info I was given.

Reguarding the highlighted line - i'd call and talk to someone else. The way it has worked, atleast for some, is that the card is a room only offer that if you want a package there is a corresponding code that your pin should also qualify you for (making a total of 3 codes - room only, room + tickets, room+tickets+dining). It may not work but it might be worth calling back.
