I leave for BCV on Aug 17. Somehow I totally forgot to register for Magical Express!!! :confused3 I think it's bc I just took a trip to AKV in May and remember having the envelope, tickets, and booklet in my hands. I guess my brain forgot that I needed to do it again within a short time. :scared1: I just remembered today after browsing on the Dis!! I went to the DVC member website and just registered. It said if you register within 10 days, they will try to get the stuff out on time, but no promises. I leave a week from tomorrow - and there is no mail on Sunday. What are the chances of the tags and tickets coming by Saturday? Has this happened to anyone else? I'm assuming we can still ride the bus, correct? And I guess if worse comes to worse, we just lug our bags with us? Thanks in advance for any help you can give? LOL I'm a bozo! :woohoo:

I don't have any clue if the tags will arrive on time but yes you can retrieve your bags and head to the ME check in and they will give you your boarding passes if you don't luck out. Luggage would be stowed under the bus. Best of luck! We just came home last Thursday and wish I was going back. Unfortunately it's back to work tomorrow..........

I am assuming this would apply to you as well. apologies if wrong.

My son had his ME tags delivered weeks ago for his departure Wed. - was originally staying at SSR. His waitlist bor BWV just came through (6/7 days before).

I called MS to ask about ME/luggage tags.

This is what I was told he can do.

1) He can give ME a description of his luggage and give them his luggage claim tickets (so they can look for his luggage and pick it up) or,

2) He can pick up his own luggage and store in under the bus as the previous poster said.

My son has opted to pick up his own luggage on Wed.

Notify MS that you will be using ME so they have you down. I would also opt to pick up my own luggage if you are given the same choices.

You should be fine. I called on the 1st and they got them to me by the 5th and I'm 3000 miles away.

thank you all for your replies!! :goodvibes i got an email from member services saying if i don't get the luggage tags in time, i can give the luggage claim tickets to someone from the magic express and describe our luggage and they will get it and send it to the hotel! :thumbsup2 so i'm feeling better about everything! i still can't believe i forgot to register! guess my gingko biloba isn't working LOL. i'm hoping the tags come in time for me as well. thanks again for your help. one week from tomorrow we leave!!:cool1: i'm really looking forward to spending 10 days at the beach club! stormalong bay is my favorite!!!

you can give your bag claim but put your cell number on the bsgsvs they did call my sister when we were on the me bus and no problems

Hi,
I hope that you have a great trip!
Last January, we made a trip with family members and multiple reservations (some on our points and a partial one on rented points - some made less than a week before); anyway, because of all of the confusion my mother-in-law's ME reservation booklet never arrived.
We were also told that her reservation would be in the system when she checked in and not to worry.
Well, when she got there they could not find her reservation, but it did not matter at all - they helped her immediately and collected her luggage. I honestly think that you could ride ME without reservations as long as they are able to find your hotel reservation. I believe that the reservaton system allows Disney to prepare for the number of guests arriving - as well as guarantee a seat for you when it is busy.

Have fun and don't worry, at the absolute worst you can take a taxi but I don't think that is even a remote possibility.

Regina

Thank you everyone for your replies! :goodvibes Unfortunately I went out to the mailbox yesterday with fingers, toes, and eyes crossed, lol, to not find my ME stuff in there. :confused3 We leave very early in the morning, so that was the last chance. Oh well! I'm heading to the dollar store to find some ribbon to make our luggage easier to recognize for the cast members and was even thinking of taking pics of it with my cell to print out to give them. I'll be sure to never make this goof again LOL. But hey - at least I'm heading to the Beach Club tomorrow :) all will be fine! Thanks again!!! :lovestruc

My son had no problem picking up his own luggage and glad he did. When they checked in at BWVs (his waitlist came through 6 days before and therefore old ME tags not good), his studio was ready at 11:30.

Either way, you will be fine. Stay safe and have a great trip!
