Did it work out?

We have 235 points at BWV and 50 at BCV. It's too much
of a pain to try to book 11 month windows with the split.
I have a call into my guide about buying 50 points at BWV and
selling my 50 at BCV. Has anyone done this????and if so,
how did it work out???

i have not done this, but i would think that you would have to sell your 50pts thru a resale and purchase a add on thru dvc if the 50 points are available for bwv. i heard the bwv was sold out and then when they moved the offices to ssr they turned the offices into more rooms and im not sure if those points are still available. i guess you could also go thru a resale for bwv points but you will have to pay closing cost . while your waaiting for the phone call from your guide, check out the resale.

WDWStar is right that you will have to sell the points yourself -- Disney won't directly buy them back. Your guide will let you know what's available at BWV for sale and you can also look at the resale market.

It can be done but chances are you going to lose some money in the transaction. You'll have to weigh whether the convenience you gain will cover the monetary loss.

I'd be interested in how this goes for you. Someday we'd like to do this, "change home resorts". Hope you'll post how this goes.

Why not just bank and borrow the BCV points, giving you 150 points their every third year? That's what we do. We have 200 BWV points and 100 VWL points. We use our 200 points each year for our Disney trips and stay at BWVs. Then we bank and/or borrow our VWL points and every few years stay there, or go on a cruise, etc.

If you sell then buy BWV, expect a loss of somewhere around $1000 depending in part on whether you use a broker to sell and whether you buy direct or resale.
