Was it worth it? Did you feel that you got your money's worth? Would you do it again? If not why? And what will you do next time?

We did it a few years ago when it was called the Grand Plan. It was okay, but we won't do it again. Too much food. We had been to Disney many times so we had the opportunity to do some tours, go boating, parasailing, etc that we found interesting. We did do the Luau and Hoop Dee Do and Cirque. WE were constantly busy but that's how we like it. We have also done the Gold and the Silver plan and of the 3 we like the Silver the best. This time we are doing room only and I'm getting meal vouchers from Hotwire to see how that works.

We've never done the 'Platinum Plan' but back in 1993 DH & I went on a package that included everything. I don't remember what it was called. We got (and ate!) 3 meals a day and I agree with Cindy - it was too much food! Ugh. By the end of the week I didn't want to eat anymore.

As far as recreation we used the water mice and that was about it.

We did the Platinum plan when it was the Grand Plan. We had a blast. We did things we would not have done and haven't done since. Dh and I ate at V&A's while DS went the the Neverland Club. We rented water mice, went water skiing, went parasailing, took some classes at the Disney Institute, had a message, and went on the Illluminations Cruise. When we got home we added up all our recipts and we "spent" more than we paid for our trip. We got our money's worth. We also ate a lot of sit down meals, which we would never do now, it takes away too much park time.

If I was staying for at least a week and had the money I would probably do it again. We had so much fun and were treated like royalty. I would just make sure that you are going to use everything that you are paying for.

From what I've gathered, these higher-end plans are more for a once-in-a-lifetime trip (or maybe just ever-so-often :) ). We're on the gold plan and just did not figure we would use the features on the platinum plan. This trip is also just the two of us, so we can take all the time we want sitting and enjoying meals, going on a number of tours, and taking in all the benefits the plan has to offer. I frankly can't see how a family with young kids could fully enjoy the platinum or gold plan because kids just don't like to sit that long and can't participate in many of the activities included in the plan.

I did it and I agree with other posters - it's more for a once in a lifetime vacation. I stayed at GF on Platinum for 32 days alone. No kids, no family members, just me - as always. Yes, the gold plan would have been enough but if it had not been for the room service feature of the Platinum, I would have been more ill than I was. I picked up some nasty bug and was bedridden for about 5 days - room service brought me grapefruit juice and crackers round the clock.

Yes, I would refer to the Platinum Plan as "eating your way thru Disney." But I did something a little unique, the last 3 days I had 48 meal coupons left to use - there was no way I could use them, so I took total strangers, and even some CMs, to dinner, to lunch and even to breakfast. It was very satisfying, for me.

Would I do it again? Not Platinum, but gold, for sure.
