Has anyone done the Frozen Dining Package at Carthay

I am considering doing it. We would normally eat there anyway (although I doubt we could spend 89 dollars a piece for 4 people). Two concerns. We are doing this for my DD who is a frozen nut. She is in a wheel chair and almost blind. We have never seen the show (despite going 4 times since it started) because she will not be able to see anywhere other than the wheel chair spots in the first few rows of the orchestra and when we call or ask at guest services they tell us that all three levels have wheel chair seating and there is nothing we can do to control where we end up and only one person can sit with her (there are 4 of us total). ANd wheel chairs wait in a different area than everyone else. Well that pretty much makes it not doable for us. We could very easily wait forever in two separate places and then her end up in a spot she cannot remotely see. Will paying all this money for the Dining package allow us to get as far front as possible and sitting all together without waiting forever?
Next question: Has anyone had any success in ordering off the regular menu rather than Frozen menu (I don't mind paying at least 89 dollars a piece, but I will likely want something different)

Anyone? I really want my DD to see this show. I'm desperate to figure out a way to make it happen.

We did the Frozen Lunch in early December. I enjoyed the meal, but you seem to be more interested in the seating. Our reservation was for 12:30PM, for the 3:30 performance of Frozen.

We finished lunch and received tickets at 2:10:

The regular line at 2:27:

VIP entrance is on the other side of the theater. Line at 2:38:

Line at 3:06, just before entering (this shows most of the line):

Wheelchair seating is at the back of the front center orchestra. 2 regular seats alternating with 2 wheelchair spots. I don't know if there are any wheelchair spots closer to the stage.

If your daughter is able to transfer out of her wheelchair into a regular seat, you could sit Front Row Center. The Dining Package line enters before anyone else, and can select any seat.

That is exactly what I wanted to know. THank you!!! Yes, we can transfer her out of the wheelchair. But we still need to get edge or front row to make that work. Our experience has been that its almost impossible to make that happen. She is really short, do you think she would even be able to see the stage from the front row? Or would she be sitting below it? Again, thank you. I know it seems so minor to many but this is a really huge deal for her. I still kind of hate that my food choices will be so limited at Carthay because we love to order all different things there but I can give up the real Carthay for the seating for one trip.

We did not try to substitute any items from the Frozen meal, but did add biscuits and duck wings from the regular menu.

The stage has steps across the curved front, so the stage height should not be an issues. I have not sat in the front row, but some of the action will be directly over your head (not really a negative, might actually be fun).

I like to request a "private booth" (Hyperion or Buena Vista), but no guarantee to get one.

Just to be complete, pictures of the meal:

Menu:

No photo of the Salmon appetizer, plate is shared between 2 guests.

The front row is really not good seats at all for a theatrical show...especially this one. You will miss a lot. The wheelchair seats all have companion seats next to them and most are right off the center aisle in the auditorium. Those are by are the best seats in the house in my onion. We usually sit right behind that aisle.

While generally I would agree with you about front row, we did not feel our view was limited at all from the front row for this show. DD5 LOVED being in the middle of the show (the actors frequently come down on the steps and others enter from the aisles etc). There is a section during Let It Go where we had to turn to see the action but it was still OK. We both really enjoyed the show and I think OP's DD would find it magical in the front row. We did the Frozen party thing they had over the summer as the other option for priority seating and I felt it was well worth it. We sat in the front row, middle section next to the house left aisle. These are photos from our seats.

I know my DD would love that. Thank you so much for your photos and help. We just cancelled for next week in favor of Hawaii but we are definately doing this in February. Well worth the cost in our situation! She is so limited in so many ways. I think it will be one of the highlights of her life.
