I like to do different things with the kids each year...I'm thinking about the Family Magic Tour. The price is right and it's only 2 hours, so probably just enough for the kids. Has anyone done this? I may have my mom with us, she'll be in an ECV, would that be a problem at all??

Hi. I can't give details yet but will have the full scoop after my family does this next week (on the 18th). It sounds like so much fun and we are up for anything - we love trying new stuff too! It will be me, DH and DD, who's 11 (older than most that I have seen do this) but hey.....We all get to be little kids while at Disney. I'm not sure when you are going but I will let you know how this went when we return (the 24th). Have a great trip!

We did this last April and loved it. I don't want to spoil anything for you, but it is a lot of fun. The ECV may make some of the activities a bit tough but I bet Grandma would still have a hoot rolling along watching the Grandkids participate. Some grandmas would appreciate the excuse, so they don't have to look foolish.(BG) It was great!!

We loved the Family Magic Tour so much we did it twice in one trip! It was the best spent money on our trip. I am planning a "mini" family reunion for Dec 30 to Jan 6 and we will definately be doing it again! My children age 2 and 6 (at the time) loved it!
If you have an annual pass you can usually get a % off on tours. If you are going before 12/31/03 you can get a discount from the Disney Club.

We did it in August for the first time and we all had a ball! DGD (age 1) was in a stroller and we didn't have any problems at all. In fact, we were the only family on the tour so we finished about 30 minutes early.

The CM will make you feel comfortable with all the silliness. Our 16 yr DD was not too sure about the whole thing when the CM called her by name while we were in TomorrowLand. Sensing that she might be slightly embarrased, she quickly said, "Now all those cute boys know your name. They will be looking all over the park for the rest of the trip, calling out ______!" Just about that time, one of the guys winked at her and she was thrilled. The CM knew just how to get us all involved and out of our comfort zone with public silliness.

Let us know how you like it!

Thanks everyone!! I'm definitely booking this now! I think my boys (almost 8 and just 7) will get a kick out of it! I think I probably will too! You guys have me so psyched about this!!

I forgot about the Disney Club discount! Thanks for reminding me! I'm gonna call today

(Can I call Disney Club and book it through the dining #??)

NYDisneyMom, do I don't think you can book thru the regular restaurant line. You need to call 407-WDW-TOUR. Be sure to check out mousesavers.com for additional discounts that may apply. Go to WDW, then to TOURS.

You guys peaked my interest big time: what is the FMT, how much, and when is the best time to go? cause we are goin!!:bounce:

I copied this from Deb Wills' site (can't find anything about it on mousesavers).

I did this in June and it was AWESOME.
My sister (22) myself (20) and my cousin (15) had SUCH a fantastic time.

You act VERY VERY silly, but it's SO much fun we can not wait to do it again!!
