Last time we did the 3 hour tour (lol) and LOVED it. It did seem pretty short and especially in comparison to our St. John/St. Thomas excursion (9:15-3:00) on a private daysail.

This year we'll be at Grand Cayman on NYE (what an incredibly magical way to spend NYE, swimming with the stingrays) and I thought the 6 hour trip might be more fun. I realize you don't get additional time with the stingrays, but you get a conch dive and lunch and it seems to be on a different boat - has anyone done this?

We'll have two 7 year olds, a nearly 6 year old and a 4.5 year old. My two absolutely loved the stingrays last time.

Thanks in advance for any reviews/comments!

YES we've done the full-day Capt. Marvins. I can honetly say that it was one of the most fun days I've ever had. You get to snorkel more, conch dive, and eat seafood freshly prepared by a 70+year old Capt. Marvin! You usually conch dive first. Then the guy who helps you snorkel, etc. opens up the conch shells, takes out the conch, cleans it and then places it in a marinade. At lunch, you get to eat raw, marinated conch on saltines as an appetizer! The entire morning, Capt. Marvin is cooking your lunch on the ship - smelled SOOO good. The BEST part is that Capt. Marvin goes to visit Stingray City when the cruise excursions are NOT there. We went and we were the only people there - yes the stingrays outnumbered the people!!! At lunch, you stop at the Kaibo Yaught Club and you eat mahimahi or chicken, rice, potato salad, and a lettuce salad. Then you snorkel the rest of the afternoon. The Coral gardens are so nice and the fish are amazing. I say - GO FOT IT!
