Has anyone done Tabata?

We have a Tabata class and a core yoga class opening up at the end of the month and I'm thinking about doing it. The Tabata seems intense though, I'm a little intimidated.

So any pointers would be good. I need to sign up by the end of the week because class starts on the 28th.
 
I had a trainer who introduced me to some tabata workouts. They are intense but meant to be done in a short amount of time and not every day. Like I'd do a treadmill one that lasted only 4 minutes. Also did a circuit one that last about 10. I did like it as it got my heart rate up and was over quickly.

Thanks for the info. I might try a drop in and see if it works out. The time of day isn't great so I'm not sure how it will pan out. It would be a circuit one because the school doesn't have treadmills.
 
I am a Crossfitter and we do tabata workouts frequently. They are quick and effective- 20 seconds of work10 secsonds of rest. You get a killer workout in under 20.minutes :)
