Last year DGD4 fell asleep while we waited for our table at Coral Reef. She woke up just as dessert was being served and thought that we ordered dessert for dinner. She thought it was the funniest thing in the world and is asking to go back to the restaurant where you get dessert for dinner! I'd love to humor her and go just for dessert this time. After the dinner rush of course, maybe after illuminations one night. Has anyone done this?

I have often gone to a restaurant specifically for dessert. I'm not a big eater, so I never have room for dessert if I eat a meal. So sometimes I'll make an ADR for a late lunch, maybe 2-3pm, and then around 7, I'll have another ADR for dessert somewhere. Of course, this wouldn't work if you get the dining plan, but I usually don't because I have an AP.

We are going to eat our way around the world one day, sharing something from each country between the four of us. Since we will not have a "real" dinner, we could have our dessert "dinner" that day! DGD4 will love it!

Check the Restaurant Review board from a few months back, for a series of posts from Mr. Disney and K-Man about their dessert-only "meal" at Bistro de Paris :)

I don't see why you can't get dessert only, especially outside peak hours BUT I don't think any of the Epcot restaurants seat anyone at/after 9 PM so doing it after Illuminations is out.
