What kind of trail do you follow? Do you see anything spectacular or just tons of trees and campsites?

We have done the horseback riding. It is really fun. You don't really see any campsite. Alot of trees and sometimes some dear or rabbits. I must say it has been almost 7 years since we have done it. We did it before we had our DS, who will be 7 this month, was born. We are now waiting for him to meet the requirements so we all can go back. We wouldn't think about doing that with out him. Our friends have a horse and he rode it the other week and had a blast.

The trail leaders were a blast. Our family consisted of 7 of us all adults so as you can imagine we were messing with each other pretty much throughout the ride. One of the Leader's got my brother to tell us his nick name for my sister-in-law. We had a great time and my husband and I really teased my DB & DSIL throughout our trip.

Oh well sorry I kept rambling. It just brought back good memories especially since my DB & DSIL got divorced. We miss them every time we go to Disney.

Sorry again. I Hope this helps.

Diane

Oh that was a great rambling story! It helps me get a feel for the whole mood of the setting. Sounds great so far.

DW and I have done it. If you are an experienced rider, which we aren't, you may not like it. This is a slow paced ride along the canals of Fort Wilderness. We saw all kinds of wildlife from rabbits and armadillos to eagles and a gator. The ride lasted about an hour (I think), and we never even got up to a trot, but for us it was perfect. The CM's who run the livrey are very nice and quite helpful to first time riders. I'd definately recommend it.

Oh, I'm not a novice rider either, never been on a horse, so this is sounding good.
Hey Demosthenes, I noticed your avator. Are you coming in to Tiger Stadium this year? I hope Georgia doesn't lay a big hurting on us like last time they came to Baton Rouge! ouch!

I did this in Oct. with all 3 of my sisters and my dh. We had a great time! We didn't ride along any canals though, just through the woods in a circle (we came back the same way we went) and the place where we turned around we could see the highway. We really enjoyed it and the cm's were soooo nice!!!

I did this 10 years ago. You have to sign a waiver to ride. I totally understood why after the horse I was riding crammed herself into the corner of the corral while we were waiting to leave. She had my ankle twisted against the fence she was leaning on. I couldn't move it from the way she was standing. A couple of steps sideways and it would have been "SNAP" :( Anyhoo, I am a novice rider and it was alright. There isn't much to see and it lasted about 45 minutes.

During the trail ride a horse took off with a little kid on its back. It went tearing off into the bushes and one of the trail leaders had to go after it. If it had been me, I would have freaked out!

I love animals and the horse I rode was nice. I think her name was Bridget. I was extremely sore after the ride. I also wanted to take a shower. Just something to keep in mind if you have plans which require you to be "fresh" later in the day. It can get hot out there.

I think it is 60 days.

Always. There are no finer fans, and no funner parties in the SEC than those at LSU. It's the only place we've been that win or lose the fans treat you with respect...well, LSU and maybe Auburn. As for laying a big hurt on you, since we're playing on under the lights, and we graduated so much talent, I just hope you go easy on us this year!
