after changing my itinerary several times, the latest plan is to do disney over easter and skip universal this time. i have never stayed at a value resort but am going to be giving POP a try after hearing the reviews on this board. for those that have been to disney at easter, what is it like? i have heard that the crowds are the heaviest at this time but i am looking for crowds. this is to be my first solo trips so i think that i need alot of people around. i also thought that going solo would allow me to get around at this busy time easier and do the single rider lines.

what do you guys think? is it easier for a solo traveler at easter than a group or is just not a good idea at all? i have been told to stay away from MKG on Easter, is this true?

I won't do Easter or Christmas to NY - just because Disney is so darn busy...

I like it better in offseason when the park is not so busy....

there are no longer any times of the year when the park is almost empty....

Sept and Jan are as close as you can get - and they can be busy....

the problem with Easter is the wait in lines - I mean you could easily be standing around in lines for hours.... the fast passes go quickly they will be gone by 10:00am (if that long)... probably 9:00am ( sometimes during busy times all the parks open early - not just the early entry one).

I think I would rather do other things with my time than stand around in line....as a solo you will have to stand in line (no one to share the lines duties with) - why add to it by going in an extra busy time.

to me MK is crowded with 40,000 people - being there with 125,000 (christmas busy time) would not be my opinion of fun....

Disney only has a few rides with single - Epcot - test track, mission:space - they did away with the one in Soarin'....

I think the only one in Studio is RRR.

even in the single lines I have waited over an hour at test track during a non-busy season.... (this ride still breaks...)

I have been at Christmas but I won't do Easter. There are very few attractions with single rider lines (right now, Mission Space and Test Track are it. Everest had one for the preview, but I don't know if they will have one when they are officially open). The best way to tour at such a busy time, even for a single, is to get out early and use Fastpass. Personally, I am not an early riser, and don't want to feel like I have to get to a park before it opens if I want to ride anything. If you don't already have a room, a flight (if you fly) and restaurant ADRs, they may be very difficult to get.
