I found out I am going to be a DAK for my PI. However I've become very nervous because someone told me the park orientation is 8 hours long and completely outside I've done orientation at EPCOT and DHS and some of it was inside for videos on the history, safety etc.
I ask because I will be there in June and I cannot walk around in the heat for 8 hours due to a medical condition. I haven't submitted a medical accommodation form yet but I wasn't planning on requesting an indoor location because I CAN work outside for several hours, just not all day. I have been told by other CMs at this location that the outdoor positions rotate. In the past I was given a restriction "Must work in climate controlled environment" and was not permitted to work certain positions....even when it was cold. I do not want to miss out on things because of this and I know I can handle the parts of the job that will be outside....but I don't know if I can handle 8 hours touring the park.
Has anyone done DAKilmation recently? What was it like? Is the day broken up?
