Any ideas where I can find what Hilton Head is like at Christmas? Has anyone ever done HH for the Holiday's? How is it? Recommended?

Not Christmas, but we've done it for New Year's. Very quiet! It was a nice little escape, but we probably wouldn't go back to HH while it's too cold to swim.

We've done Christmas there--very nice and relaxing. And, we are going to be there this year for Christmas again. I'm hoping to learn of any festivities that may be going on around the resort or area.

We have spent 4 xmas weeks at HHI twice for xmas eve and day and twice for NYE and NY day. The resort is wonderful and we had great weather 3 times (60's day and 50's evenings) and one very cold one (30-40's). Our DS did candy cane ice cream making one year, marsh exploration, meet and greet with Shadow(yes there really is a dog named shadow) we had campfire one night, Cookies in the Main logde. We had wonderful dinners (Scott's Fish Market, Old Oyster Factory,Guiseppe's Pizza Hilton Head Dinner for breakfast and lots of homemade stuff in the 2-bdroom. One year for xmas eve, there was an outdoor life Nativity show in Harbortown stables. It was a musical production, very professional and they had kids choir and live animals. we sat on hay bundles. It was really well done and it was a church in HHI that produced it. There were alot of people there and we really enjoyed celebrating the real xmas. They gave each person a candy cane and the story of it. at the end the minister spoke, but most people left at this point. It was fun!
