Has anyone done a big point swap?

We'd like to stay at VWL next year Dec 16-23rd.

I'm a bit concerned about availability at the seven month window. I'm considering offering a point swap for my BCV contract. I figure I could get a VWL owner into BCV at a tough-to-book season, especially F&W Festival. It's getting close to the 11 month window for next year's F&W, so I need to make a decision.

Has anyone done a large point swap before? Or would you think that Dec 16-23 is safe at the 7 month window? Obviously, as I just described, that's not truly a point swap as much as a reservation swap, but you get my drift. (Or if you don't you probably won't be responding anyway!)

I think you are 50/50 for mid December but that may depend on the type of room you want. A studio or 2BR may be harder to get. A swap would assure you of getting what you need.

Since the points are the same, I'd just make a reservation at the BCV then try and switch at 7 months and use the wait list if you need to. I think it would come through.

I did a swap of my BWV points for HHI points and it worked great. I wanted to go to HHI Easter week and knew the only way would be through a swap. It was successful for both of us.
