Has anyone decorated their Magic Bands? Please show us the pictures!

Those are awesome!! I especially love the Death Star Mickey! :darth: (We just watched the new Star Wars movie last night!)
What did you use for the glittery stuff and the base or top coat?

I used nail polish from Walmart for the whole thing. The base coat of the Star Wars was black nail polish. Then I found a nail polish with white and black circles (I used the same polish for the red band). I outlined the Mickey head on the red one and made the Mickey Death Star with a fine tip Sharpie marker. The blue band was decorated with a glitter nail polish called 'Ice Queen'. (The Mickey head was painted white then covered with the same glitter polish)

Just decorated mine last night!

SO COOL. Is that glitter on the death star mickey, or did you do a splatter with white polish? Hard to tell.. either way, these are super rad. Thanks for sharing!

**EDIT** Ooops! Never mind, just read the part about the polish you used for the death star band. Missed that on the first read!

Question for those of you with small wrists?

I'm going to give a go at decorating one of my bands tomorrow with polish (split stay, so I have two bands.. one to practice on!) and I'm trying to decide if I want to keep the grey outside band on, or take it off. The band looks fine and fits on my wrist okay with the grey part intact, but I'm well into the colored part of the band when I clip the band into the holes, and I'm thinking the band would sit better on my wrist without the bulky end of the grey part hanging out inside. Any advice or thoughts? I know once I take that grey part off it's gone for good!

You can cut off the long end of the gray part so it's not so bulky inside. It just depends on what look you like best. You could try that first since, yes, once you take off the gray there's no going back.

Like a PP said, I would try cutting the grey part down, and filing the edges to see how it feels, then if it still feels bulky take the gray part off.

I don't have tiny wrists so I leave mine as is, but like others have suggested, I've seen people trim it down to the last or second last hole in the dark grey portion of the band and then round off the end and smooth it with a file. I like the contrast the outside gives so I wouldn't remove it for me.

Thank you, that's a great link! Nice being able to see the way they look in each option.

I took the grey part off my first band, but I'll be trimming my second as recommended to remove the bulk but keep the grey contrast. I think the pink band looks better with the grey :)

My two cents: I always clip the extra gray portion off and then "smooth" the cut edge by holding the edge near (1/2 inch or so) a cigarette lighter in order to melt the edge and make it smooth. Has worked very well for me so far.

I have cut down the gray "tail" of my MB and then I use a lighter to melt the end to make it smooth. This makes it really smooth instead of using a file. If you are hesitant, cut off the end, and practice on the cut off piece first.
