Has anyone changed dining assignments/booked Palo on embarkation via voicemail?

I'm looking through the Alaska navigators and saw that you can leave a voicemail to either change your dining assignment or book a Palo reservation. I kind of want to try a Palo brunch and there are no slots available right now. I may just try that on my cruise in August since it wouldn't be the end of the world if I wasn't able to get one.

I'm curious how that works though...would everyone that lines up on embarkation day take priority and then they sort through the voicemails afterward?

You line up for dining changes from 12:30-3:30. After that time I believe they would go to the voice mails. I'm not sure if you can leave voice mails during the time that the change location is live.

We have added Palo reservations by calling from the cabin on the first day. Of course, the cabins are not available until 1:30.
