Hi

Well we are in a bit of problem we have a booking with Virgin Holidays and we have recently had a few problems with the car etc and some other bills. We have to pay our holiday now. We are a little short. I was at work today doing my usual stuff and I had an idea. A few years back we changed with Airtours similar situation no problems. So can we change our booking from Virgin Holidays to Virgin Atlantic? We have paid a deposit and we are desperate we do not lose our deposit. We are definately going, but its getting it paid in time, as they want the whole money now. If we can change the booking to flight only then that way we can pay for the accomodation next month.

Please help. I really hope we can do this.

Give them a ring - they might even allow you to pay later - I suppose it depends when you want to delay paying - is it weeks away?

Hi

I think we are looking at end of Jan to mid Feb. It was due on the 20th Dec. If not we will cancel the booking and book again and pay for a flight seperately. It would be great to put that money to some use. Fingers crossed x

If you have to book separately and risk losing your deposit - are you possibly going again? If so use the deposit for another holiday, that way you dont lose it, but I think there is an admin fee?

The only prob is its for NYC and we are not going to FL this year. We are saving up so we can move houses. It really is use this deposit money or lose it. :sad2:

i know i do`nt like it. open a CC that offers 0% for a short time .dont use the card again (cut it up)Then pay of when you got the funds.Do not be tempted to use card for outher things

if you are disciplined enough to cut up the card this is a very easy way to hold off paying, its not for the faint hearted tho:)

we had a bit of cash flow once when hubby changed jobs and = nearly two months with no pay at time hols was due, but they was good and let us pay some and wait for the rest, give them a call, they can only say no.......

The only thing i thought of when I read this is to possibly change the trip to a fly-drive to save some money, see what they say, good luck,

Hi

We spoke to the TA. Unfortunately Vh wont change our holiday to flights only or fly drive to NYC apparently they do not offer this for City breaks :confused3

Unfortunately we have to lose the £240 deposit or book another one and add the kids on. Only problem is we are not going back to FL this year, because we want to a bigger and better house. I dont know what we will do yet.

Thanks for your advice.

I went on virgins site and they do offer fly drives, but that works out more expensive than our original holiday and if we booked independantly.
