I'm looking to get my daughter a pair of Uggs, and I've heard that they can be cheaper online. Has anyone bought them this way and could you recommend a good website (other than the official Uggs website) where I could look? Thanks!

I haven't bought any UGGs online yet but will be hopefully before Christmas. I will buy them when they go on sale again at 6pm.com. I have bought other stuff on there and the package arrived in 2 days! Great service from them!

The problem with buying them online is that their are counterfeits out there. If you go to the UGGs website it will show you ways to figure out what online retailers are selling counterfeits. They won't tell you exact websites to avoid, just ways you can know whether or not they are selling the real deal. One inetersting thing they said was that any URL, except theirs, with the word UGG in it was probably selling counterfeits. The also have a list of authorized online retailers, but oddly enough 6pm wasn't on their list. They just had a huge clearance sale and sold out their inventory, but now have some styles in stock again (of course not at those clearance prices). Maybe the UGGs site doesn't update the list regularly :confused3
Anyway, its funny to see this post. I was online last night trying to find the best deal on a pair of Cardy's or Argyle's and was looking all this stuff up. I found a few good deals but I'm really hesitant to buy them.

www.uggboots-usa.com is where I've been looking. They have the classic talls for $84 and it says free shipping. No way on Earth will I pay $180!!

How do we know if these are real? I would love to order but am leery after a sunglasses purchase I made last year that said they were real but were SO not.

I get mine and DD's from Nordstrom.Com. They last so long I don't mind paying the price for them-just make sure to waterproof them to repel dirt. Also, you can get the kids sizes for an adult, and it's cheaper.

This is taken from the Ugg australia website:

How to recognize online retailers that sell counterfeit product:
UGGAustralia.com is the only authorized online retailer that uses the term UGG in our URL. If you are viewing UGG® Australia product on-line anywhere (other than uggaustralia.com) and the URL or domain name includes any variation of "UGG", or includes one of our product names in the URL or domain (e.g. "Cardy"), this product is most certainly counterfeit. If you do not buy UGG® Australia product from uggaustralia.com or one of our authorized retailers listed in the Dealer Locator you should assume you are purchasing counterfeit product. You are purchasing on-line and delivery to you is scheduled from anywhere other than the United States or from our authorized international distributors.

Protect yourself by carefully reviewing the following sections of any retail web site: About Us: Should give you clear and credible information about the business. Contact Us: Should provide a physical address and phone number. Return Policy: Should provide clear instructions for returns including mailing address and customer service phone number and email

Just bought a pair from zappos.com. They were $113.00, free shipping and I bought youth size 6 for my daughter who takes a woman's size 7. They are probably more like a size 8 but she is 13 so still growing. Very pleased with them. And the same ones at Journeys were $140.00. YAY! I was planning to purchase from nordstroms.com but when I entered all info., they were out of the size and color I was looking for. Goodluck!

I bought a pair of Cardy's from a well-rated vendor (well-rated on customer reviews) last year. They were only a bit cheaper than the authorized websites and they were the only place that had them in stock. So, hesitantly, I ordered them.

To this day, I'm pretty sure they are counterfeit. They look the same but there was just something off about the whole thing. And, they didn't hold up well.

I will only buy from an authorized dealer now.

I just bought a pair of gray Cardy Uggs online last night for my daughter. Her birthday is in early October so I couldnt wait around for any sales. I use eBates to get a percentage back on my online purchases. I went through the entire list of authorized retailers from the Uggs website (six pages long!) to see which websites participated in eBates. The best I could come up with is shoes.com which gives an 8% rebate and offers free shipping. I couldn't find the gray Cardys on sale at a single authorized retailer. I feel like some of the other colors were on sale at a few places.

Okay, you have convinced me to buy from the authorized retailer. I would rather pay very close to MSRP for the real thing, then chance buying a counterfeit.

There's an authorized retailer that has a 14% rebate through bing. and free shipping. Its the best I could find, so I'm ordering now.

The Oakley's I bought from 6pm are real. They are identical to DD's BFF's that she bought at a sunglass hut for $170--well, except that I paid $39.99!!!

Have you looked at any of the reward sites to see if they have a coupon for them. You will know they are real if you shop through one of them.

I have found they run a bit large and I wish I had ordered a smaller size.

I bought a couple of pairs of UGG's off of Victoria Secret's website. They often have sales like take $25 off $100 and free shipping so that usually saves some money.

The discounts no longer include Uggs :sad1: Thats where I used to get mine.

Wow! I had no idea they stopped. It was a couple of years ago the last time I did. That's unfortunate.

This is the website I was looking at as well. Has anyone else dealt with this site? Are these real Uggs that I'd be buying?

What style are you looking for?
Check out bootbay.com, I found them through ebates, they are an authorized dealer and they have a few styles for less than most others and a 5% rebate. I just ordered a pair of cardy's for $109.99, free shipping and I'll get 5% back. Every other place wanted around $140 for them.
Thanks to the pp who mentioned ebates, I was all set to order through bing, but this was definitely a better deal

There was a thread on the Budget Board about this, a couple of weeks back I think.

There was a great discount running on a website, I don't think it's still valid.

I would suggest you frequented the Budget Board (if you don't), a thread about Uggs comes up every once in a while!:)
